Well, I did it for the Heisei Era, and so I figured I'd try it here...
THIS EXCLUDES ALL GFW KAIJU WITH THE EXCEPTION OF KAISER GHIDORAH AND MONSTER X!!!!
little disclaimer so poeple wouldn't hound me on that issue...

Well, here we go
Orga: So, it's a Godzilla clone, and yet looks NOTHING like Godzilla, sounds nothing like Godzilla (I actually probably couldn't even pick out the roar from a crowd), and it's name is never ever used ONCE in the film? (at least american vers.) but on the plus side, he did have some cool cg effects and i personally like the attempt to swallow the big G, even though it coulda been better

Megaguirus: Well, here we have a supersonic kaiju whose wings beat about once a minute? Many have called Megaguirus little more than a Battra remake and few were fans of the execution. However, he had some especially cool sequences especially where he drops half the building onto the big G and gives that smirk

Baragon (GMK): OK so, they name the monster after it's already dead...not really cool? and the one detraction some have is the coloring, but for many this kaiju was the highlight of the series and only is on here for completeness sake

Mothra (GMK): well, they pretty much de-mystified Mothra, and her attempts to stop the Big G were more futile than ever. She just kind of shows up and dies which some people have problems with. Also very plastic looking. However, for the most part execution was excellent and the use of non-beam powers was cool

King Ghidorah (GMK): The ultimate evil in the Godzilla universe is a good guy??? WHAT?!? The distinctive roar was also missing as it had been since the Showa era, one of the most controversial uses of a classic kaiju in newer toho films, many hope the good guy role for KG will never see the light of day again. ON the plus side, he had some cool sequences, including his rebirths, and was executed rather well considering he was not supposed to have matured fully.

Kiryu (GXMG): well, a different spin on mechagodzilla, actually made from Godzilla. Very cool backstory, however detractors have questioned the piloting of such an advanced robot as well as a fairly across the board hatred of MG's backpack

Mothra (SOS): Back to basics for mothra...the one major pro is also the one major con...this mothra is pretty much the exact same as in mothra vs. godzilla, except for look, but as far as attitude and backstory, it's all there...unfortunately, many feel it was a poor recapturing of mothra's initial spirit...

Monster X: Well, detractors call out an unoriginal design and lackluster roar and execution, while those who liked it point it out as the only monster to be able to take a punch from Godzilla in this film

Kaiser Ghidorah: MORE GHIDORAH!?!? and what's with the tiny wings and four feet...this one will draw a lot of votes being called out for it's duct-taped look or two-guys-in-a-horse-suit appearance. On the plus side it was powerful, the metamorphosis was cool, and if you listen closely you can hear a little throwback to the old roar...

EDIT: my vote goes to megaguirus...poorly executed, very plastic looking, not believable...
