I would like to have seen Shusuke Kaneko make his original idea for (what became) GMK, with Angilas, Varan and Baragon (I guess this makes it GVA). I would add Rodan and a really, really, killer, horrific version of King Ghidorah. (No one on the set would be allowed to say the word "Mothra.")
Rodan and King Ghidorah would wreak havoc from the sky in SPFX sequences designed to be stunning and shocking.
I would use a modified version of the GMK-Goji design in a really dark film, one punctuated by several horror sequences interspaced with humor. While I would not have Godzilla using judo techniques, he would be on a rampage, with several sequences of seemingly non-stop destruction both at sea and on land. He would be in a horror-inducing rage, totally malevolent. I mean by this, that Godzilla would not only be vicious, but he would seem to enjoy it. Without making him appear too human, the idea is to lend a pronounced sense of urgency and desperation to fighting him and overcoming his menace. This would lend drama to the story and hopefully involve other than otaku in a film that would have deep meaning with Godzilla as a symbol as well as a great giant monster.
A lot of the story would take place at night, with things happening suddenly, and not being completely explicable, at least at first. I would want Shinju Higuchi or Makoto Kamiya to do the SPFX. I would also like to see Megumi Odaka (Miki of the Heisei films) in a role completely different from her character in the "Versus" Films. I would use real, existent military hardware, while at the same time putting the human characters right in the middle of the action.
Although filmed in color, the film would almost seem black and white because of its tone and story. Akira Takarada appearing in a role evokative of his character in Gojira would be a must.
EDIT: I would ask Ko Otani or Michiru Oshima to do the score, using classical Japanese themes and military marches, along with appropriately eerie themes for the horror sequences and mystical pieces for the gradual unfolding of the events across Japan.
“Godzilla is a force. He is not something that can be stopped by human weapons. He is brutal and severe. My Godzilla will be the cruelest and fiercest in the history of the series.â€
