Man oh man. I think Kansas would've won that game had they had Embid. The days of the very good to great teams are over, over, over. One day soon, we WILL see a 1 seed beat a 16 seed. It's coming.

I had UK losing to lousiville but I have a feeling Wichita might beat them today - which I'll be very happy with. I did not have Kansas in my Final Four since their shot blocker has been hurt (Embeid or whatever his name is), but I thought they'd make the sweet 16.

Kansas never passed the eye test with me all year, I thought their #2 seed was too high.


I took a gamble and picked Wichita state to win it all this year.

The Kentucky/Wichita game was fantastic. Too bad UK won. :/

The Iowa state game was really odd. The ref missed Williams trying to call time out, then when they did call time out it was too late.

I read a pretty interesting article from 2012 that basically stated the past 10 NCAA champs were ranked in the top 30 in both defense and offense...it makes sense. My cincinanti bearcats always have a stellar defense but their offense leaves much to be desired. At some point you have to make shots.

After today I dropped from the 95% on the ESPN bracket challenge to 68%.


No matter how much time you spend putting a bracket together with careful thought it always goes to hell. Either that or you need to fill out more than one bracket. Right now only half of my sweet 16 is alive.


The Kentucky / Louisville matchup should be the hi light of the Sweet 16.

I had UK beating Wichita and losing to Louisville. It should be a great game...it also wouldn't surprise me if UK wins or gets blown out. Younger teams have trouble keeping focus. Kentucky has been that way all season despite their immense talent and size (they are huge at every position). Louisville has Russ Smith who can shoot you into a game and out of a game pretty fast.

If Michigan St remains healthy, I think they're the best team. They should beat Virginia but it will be a good game.

I was ranting about this on FB, but the UK/Louisville game was one of the worst officiated games ever. Harrell fouled out on a call were he doesn't touch the guy. Kentucky blocks a shot cleanly and gets called for a foul. A guys steps out of bounds in front of the ref? No whistle. He was looking right at it.

I agree about the officiating. Plus the replay at the end there, it was obvious you couldn't really tell the ball went off either player, wasted too much time looking at the monitor.

UConn is the thorn in the side of my bracket. Every game they've played, I've had the team they were up against winning that game. It's not like they bounced someone in the second round that I had going to the Final Four...no. They've just continually spoiled one pick every time they've won.

Florida ends Dayton's run today.

Rooting for Wisconsin to beat Arizona. I cannot stand Sean Miller (former Xavier coach)..tho I think AZ is very good.

I ended up with 2 teams in the Final 4. The Midwest bracket and UConn's run were the culprits that really ruined me.

The only team I have left is Florida.

And with the way Kentucky is playing, it's hard not to pick them. If they face Florida in the title game, I'm not sure the Gators can beat them a fourth time this season. Wisconsin poses a good threat to UK because they have a big who can shoot 3's.

Big Blue Nation is rolling on to Big D. Win or lose Saturday night, these young Cats have exceeded my expectations in this tournament. Wisconsin is gonna be a tough game. Kaminsky is ballin' right now. He'll be a tough matchup for the Cats. Here's hoping for a Cats-Gators matchup next Monday night. That UConn-Gators game is going to be good. UConn beat the Gators earlier this season and Florida hasn't lost since. It's no surprise that UConn beat State. Playing in their second home at MSG. That was like a home game for them.

My bracket died this weekend. From first in my pick 'em league with the highest point potential, to third and DONE....terrible weekend for my bracket.

Uconn has been playing out of their mind. Ive seen them a number of times and its hard to think they were that good all year...theyre just playing well.

Kentucky is living up to their potential. I do think Ollie is a great coach so part of me thinks he will have a very clever defensive scheme to combat UK's size, but I can't see UCONN winning. Kentucky is just too big for them and if Harrison is open at the end of the game he's gonna make the shot. The kid is clutch.

Also, that foul called at the three at the end of the game was terrible. Where's the travel? Guess it didn't matter since UK won anyway.
