Speaking of work my job has been incredibly stressful the past few days and the holiday season is to blame. I just have to get past the next week then everything slows right down.

memo to self: don't ask anybody for help...you just get f*cking b*tched at...but also don't screw anything up, because you'll get f*cking b*tched at...so don't ever do anything unless you know exactly what you're doing in the first place, because nobody wants to help, they just want someone to blame.

Human beings are scumbags.

I have a friend who's having a rough go of things. A couple weeks ago, his kids had human waste thrown at them, this weekend, they had several items stolen from their backyard, and this morning they woke up to find all the tires on all of their cars were slashed.

I'm pretty sure it's racially motivated, unfortunately. He's a black guy...he just bought a house in a new neighborhood. Nice, quiet, suburban area, actually a nicer neighborhood than the place I lived in before the wife and I bought a home this year. It literally sickens me to think that it's someone in the neighborhood telling him to get out, because for the life of me, I can't imagine ever thinking that based on what a person looks like (unless they're like a ginger or something [j/k, by the way] ), but I can't see any other reason why his family and his house would be the ONLY one in his entire neighborhood having any problems.

eh, i can't say i'm above having slapped down a racial slur or two or a hundred in my lifetime (whether it be in a tasteless joke, or in genuine rage over a person's actions that leads me to spout something venomous...this may be insensitive or worse, but i don't see much of a difference between calling someone something racially insensitive if they, say beat up a small child and telling a woman you will "C U Next Tuesday" for the same thing)....but i can DEFINITELY say i'd never slash someones tires just for having different skin than me.

now, if i had a neighbor that liked the Matthew Broderick Godzilla film...we might have issues...but at least in that scenario i get to know the person before burning his house to the ground.
