Quarantine - I haven't seen [rec] yet, because my video store is sold out of it three copies at the moment, but I thought this was pretty darned good. The scene are the very end in the attic was amazingly creepy

The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day back to back.

Quarantine. Lame beginning and lame ending but was otherwise well done. I need to see the movie it was based on.

Brain Candy. A brilliant comedy.

Batman followed by Batman Returns

25th Hour

Godzilla's Revenge, the US version.

Varan

Ghostbusters

Mothra followed by Mothra vs. Godzilla. Pure awesome.

Surrogates on the big screen. Pretty good but not something I'd buy.

War of the Gargantuas, the US version.

Sin City

Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back for the first time in my life at age 20. Original theatrical versions too; I won't ever have to lay eyes on the CGI versions.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, dubbed.

Atragon. Awesome as always.

Jurassic Park, my all-time favorite movie.

And lots of episodes of The Tick, The Incredible Hulk, Beast Wars, The Venture Bros. and House.

ITS OCTOBER!!!

So, I'm doing something I've always wanted to do, but have never done in the past. I'm gonna TRY my darndest to watch at least one horror movie every day for the entire month. I'm also including Godzilla/kaiju movies in this plan (close enough to horror if you ask me). So far, I've watched the following:

The Crazies
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
Shivers
Nightbreed
Scanners
My Little Eye (first time seeing this one, didn't like it)
From Beyond

Has anyone else been watching horror movies this month? And what ones? I was gonna make a separate thread for this, but I didn't think it'd get enough responses.

I looove Twin Peaks: FWWM.....

I got visit the towns where it was filmed (North Bend & Snoqualmie, WA) about a month before the movie was released in the US (had been doing good business in Japan), and found myself smack-dab in the middle of the first Twin Peaks Festival....amongst all the press and stuff going on, there was a dinner with the stars at the Salish Lodge (the Great Northern), met several of them incl. Sheryl Lee, Ray Wise, Moira Kelly, Catherine Caulson (the Log Lady), Al Strobel (the One Armed Man)....good times.

I even went to a flea market in North Bend across the street from the Mar T Cafe (Double R Diner) where they were selling junk that was used for prps and set decoratons in the movie, and bought a 50's West Bend Percolator, thinking a Coffee Pot from Twin Peaks would be a great souvenir, and whaddaya know, it shows up in the movie sitting on a shelf in the makeshift morgue in the prologue! :eek:

It may not look like much, but I love my Twin Peaks coffee pot.

Been on a real John Carpenter binge lately, including his more obscure and less appreciated stuff. I saw Ghosts of Mars for the first time ever, and it was not as bad as its reputation. Great Carpenter/Antrax/Buckethead/Steve Vai score! 8-)

i watch essentially only horror/scifi movies during october. I stretch it to include sci-fi too since they are usually about monsters and such.
PS - i also TRY to watch one horror movie a day, but usually I end up just doing an AVERAGE of one per day...
So far, I've watched:
Oct 1 - Nothing actually, went to see Metallica in Ft. Lauderdale, busy ALL DAY
Oct 2 - Not sure if you'd count Crank 2, but I also watched Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Oct 3 - They Live
Oct 4 - Trick R Treat
Oct 5 - Halloween (zombie's version - actually held up BETTER to me) and Haunted World of El Superbeasto (pile of poop)
Oct 6 - Dead Alive (aka Braindead, some sweet Peter Jackson)
Oct 7 - Wolverine
Oct 8 - Journey to the Center of the Earth (might be a stretch, being the Brendan Frasier version and all...but I also watched an episode of the Nightmares and Dreamscapes Miniseries)

Oct 9 - not sure what's on tap for tonight, i've never seen eraserhead or mothman prophecies and i have both sitting at home, but i might check out my local video store quickly first...

Keep your list posted and updated, looks like i may go there for some inspiration when I need something to watch (though I almost always find my way to watching Critters 1 & 2, the first 3 Omen films, Slither, american werewolf in london, and monster squad around halloween. THE THING is also an ABSOLUTE MUST.)
