On a more serious note, while I hate the 90's MechaKaiju I do like the transforming gimmick of Mogera 94'. So that's one good thing about the film that I think is worth mentioning.
I really need to buy that toy.

I think one of the worst things about this movie - and it's mostly caused by lazy writing than anything else - is the pathetic fact that there isn't one, easy, concrete origin for Space Godzilla. Was it because of Mothra or Biollante? Why does the movie waste time brainstorming ideas in the first place? Just pick an origin!
The movie suffers from serious ADD that makes it impossible to connect with anything in the movie because plot threads and ideas are introduced and thrown out so fast that's it's tough to really get into the movie. Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla isn't perfect but at least the storyline and simple and linear.

I think I've figured out why I always think of this as the worst Godzilla movie ever.
Its the ONLY movie in the series that bores me to tears. As awful as movies like G's Revenge, Megalon, Final Wars, etc. are, they never bore me. This movie bores me from star to finish.
Some movies (GxMG and Megaguirus especially) have come dangerously close to doing that, but even those dull outings don't put me into the coma-like state that this one does. The only things that make it worth anything at all are Yuki and the retarded scene where the crystals crash through the space ship. Space Godzilla is a cool looking villain, but he literally just stands around the whole time.

spacegodzilla is cool.
perhaps it only appears that way when stacked up against a pretty poor Mogera re-design, the re-incarnation of Minya, and the worst looking Godzilla of the Heisei series...

It's even worse when you realize that SpaceGodzilla was just "Super Godzilla" (from the SNES game of the same name), with a few small changes. The shoulder crystals, tusks, and purple-hue were all prominent features on both characters.
