Not going to rehash what others have said about this film sucking (I agree completely), but one thing I will never figure out is...
...with modern, superior audio and sound technology at their disposal, why the hell couldn't they make an original roar for Battra????! What, did they run out of time? Or did they forget to make a roar for him and didn't realize it until the last second, so they just threw Rodan's cry in? Totally inexcusable...Battra's lack of an original roar irked me more more than anything else in this film...even the god awful Indiana Jones scenes. I would love to know why this happened...very baffling.

They just messed with Rodan's roar, thought it sounded cool. That's probably what went down, I suppose. It's never really bugged me that much. I suppose because I've heard roars re-used multiple times (altered or not) in quite a few kaiju-related adventures.

Being such a huge fan of the original Mothra, I can barely tolerate the plushie version anymore. Not to mention this particular film helped start the continuing cycle of beam wars.

If i'm not mistaken, the water suit is the same old water suit from Biollante, only MUCH worse for wear.... It's pretty much falling apart at this point.
Despite all its flaws (& there SO many!), I actually like this movie. It's sort of a guitly pleasure I guess. It's got (imo) the best 90's Godzilla suit that really "cemented" the look of the Heisei Godzilla. It's also got some fun spfx sequences. Even though they are total ripoffs of scenes from better movies, they're still fun to watch. This was also the last heisei movie I ever saw, so it kind of held a slight "grail" status as it was the hardest for me to track down. It's bad - i mean, really bad - but it's still fun to watch in a "Plan 9" sort of way for me, unlike something like Spacegodzilla that I just canNOT sit through no matter how hard I try.
