I don't really see it as Japan being in a bubble. G Force is obviously comprised of more than just Japanese soldiers, it's just based in Japan since that is where the monsters seem to be attacking.

Those F-16 pilots during G-Force's assault on Godzilla in GvsMGII spoke clear english. They sounded too nice to be Murricans though. They were likely Canadian

And then there were those generals and other officers at G-Force's HQ some of them where white.

I'm not a big fan of the Heisei series, but I think Jelly's raging boner for hating on the Heisei series is probably clouding his memory.

and you know what? Yes, I hate the 90s films. They are bland, boring garbage that content themselves with just flashing some bright lights, sparks, and colors in place of anything substantial where you can sink your teeth.

But I don't just blindly love the Showa series. I like the Millenium films more than most people, honestly. I like G2K a ton, I'm a huge fan of the first Kiryu film, I recognize the things GMK does well even though I think it's a pompous self-important film, and I'm one of the only people that actually LIKES GFW.

If not for Megaguirus, the Millenium series would be the only series of Godzilla films to feature 0 films I dislike. If anyone is being colored by nostalgia here, I'd argue it's Kain, who clearly grew up loving the 90s films and has never grown past that to actually watching them based on their QUALITY.

Oh yeah, because we had nothing but the Heisei series airing on TNT, TBS, USA and on Sci-Fi in the early and mid 90s.

So, you're just going to run-down one small part of my post that was actually besides the point rather than acknowledge that I judge the movies on their own merits? I flat-out love GxMG and G2K and flat-out hate Hedorah. Biollante is one of my top 3 films but yeah...I just have my head up the Showa series' arse.

Selective responses and constant references to Godzilla's anthropomorphic behavior in kid's films amount to Kain's "contributions" around here. Like I said recently, this forum's established members should really just stop replying to him. Wtf is the point?

I actually like all three series aside from the occasional G's Revenge, G and Mothra Battle for Earth and Godzilla vs Megaguirus. Even the worst of the worst I still watch and find reasons to enjoy as garbage as they are.

Just rewatched this after several years. This, Godzilla 1985, the first horrible movie in the highly contemptible Heisei era of terrible Godzilla films, not a single one of which can measure up to anything done in the glorious Showa series where every single movie was an epic classic and a masterpiece.

I'll be enduring Godzilla vs the Giant Flower tomorrow on Blu-ray. Sigh.

^ This guy knows what's up. G85 has its merits, but as far as I'm concerned, it can't compete with Biollante overall.

Godzilla '84. The third best entry in the Heisei series. After that, a LONG drop to the other movies. As for Biollante, I might have to put it at #1 after watching it a couple of more times last month.
