One of the reasons why MONSTER OF MONSTERS: GHIDORAH may not have been dubbed into English, was that the film could have been sold to Water-Reade/Sterling while the film was still in production (there was a an American magazine snippet written from the special effects set of the film). This would make sense (as was the case with MOTHRA), since WR/S might have wanted to beat AIP to the punch in securing the film. In fact, while MONSTER ZERO was out of the loop (since it was "co-produced" by Benedict Pictures. aka UPA), WR/S got their hands on the next two films, SEA MONSTER and SON OF G, respectively, for television (although there was a plan to release them to US theaters after the success of the MZ/WOTG double-bill by UPA/Maron Films).
