So today started my Godzilla-athon trilogy with Destroy All Monsters. I've gotta say that I love this movie. The aliens are a little far fetched with the whole controlling the monsters aspect, and the confining them to an island portion. but outside of that, this movie rocks. The characters are cool (although hollow compared to those in Ghidorah and Mothra), the music is fantastic (especially when they are using that laser gun to cut the controller), and the effects are great. I will admit though, I am getting tired of seeing the same actors play different characters as it is getting confusing and annoying at times. It is great that they loved to recycle actors, but sometimes you have to let someone else play the role. Nevertheless, that is just a minor nitpick and does not ruin the movie at all. It is probably my third or fourth favorite in the Showa era (depends if I count the original in there or not).
