Love this one. Its easily one of the best in the entire Godzilla series.
Like the previous film, it featured two all time monster greats being placed against each other. The difference here though is the tone being presented which is much more serious.
Godzilla is pretty much returned to his roots of being an unstoppable force of nature here while Mothra is portrayed as the gentle guardian. I love watching Godzilla & Mothra on screen at the same time because they are so different from each other visually that it makes for a nice effect. Godzilla's indestructible nature & rather nasty disposition made him awesome in this movie.
I also liked the humans in this movie as well. The two crooked businessmen were great and rank up there as some of the best non-monster Godzilla villains. I also liked the whole message of learning to get along and uniting in the face of a common threat and all that jazz. Very nice.

I first saw the movie on TV as Godzilla Versus The Thing. It was a sequel to the first Mothra movie that guest stared Godzilla. It was sad when Godzilla killed the adult Mothra, but it was nice to see how her two kids defeated the King Of The Monster.
