How does the CGI look? I can only see the trailer on my phone for now and have read a ton of criticism of the final shot of Godzilla running.

I love how Rodan goes into a spin to take out the jets attacking him... pure bad-assery!

I've seen a few screen grabs, but otherwise I've held fast to my vow of not watching any more trailers. I mean, it's only been a few hours but I'm rather proud of myself!

From those few screen grabs I have seen, let me say that Mothra looks far more appropriately fuzzy, something that wasn't immediately apparent by the toy reveal of the design. I'm happy about that. Also, happy about just the general excited, positive reaction to the trailer.

Can't wait for the movie. I better get on my rewatch of the entire series I told up myself I was going to do!

Great trailer; the movie looks amazing. Also, Godzilla seems to move a lot faster at the end than I would've expected, and I find that kind of awesome.

He is slimmer now. I also feel his head is too small but it's not a deal breaker at all.

Am I crazy, or can you faintly hear the familiar Ghidorah "ringing" during the part where Millie Bobby Brown is covering her ears? It sure sounds like it to me.

Loved the trailer, everything looked great, excited to see "other" Kaiju whether new or returns from older Toho or WB owned IP.

You can see an oil derrick in front of the burrowing kaiju. On the Monarch site, there is a Monarch Outpost in what looks like Arizona. So, even if the identity of the monster isn't known, at least its location is. Kumonga would be a good choice: he's geographically appropriate, popular but not A-list, therefore suitable for cannon fodder for the main-eventers.

BTW, great trailer, but it doesn't bring the emotional impact, the sense of awe and grandeur, that the first one did.

Oh, and I was right. Ghidorah wing-walks!

^ Skull Island is the reason I've adopted this policy of avoidance. The trailers and TV spots gave away practically every major effects set piece and all of the surprising creatures, most of King Kong's interesting fighting moves, etc.

When King Kong comes up behind the big monster brandishing a huge boulder, saving the heroes in the process, it should be a surprising moment. But the shot of Kong with the boulder was in so many TV spots that the moment the scene started I recognized the camera set up in the geography and knew that that moment was coming.

Looks like a big fun monster mash ala GTTHM and GMK, which I'm more than happy with.

Mothra has such a Leo/GMK look to her which I'm digging more and more, and I'm coming around to wing-walking wyvern Ghidorah (there are some nice shots of his wings wide and open, though). Rodan still looks like a scene stealer, which is great - he's been underutilized for far too long!
