King Ghidorah - ruined already?

Going to see K:SI a second time and really study the cave paintings, I noticed that Ghidorah's heads are more serpentine. Rodan was pretty generic with no discerning details that I could see this time around. Biggest eye-catcher was that Mothra most definitely has several humans in the supplicating/worshiping posture surrounding her. Of course the vagueness of the paintings leaves Legendary a very W-I-D-E margin of adjustment to final designs, but at least the initial indication is that the basic esthetics established by Toho for decades will not be tampered with, much. Of course, just like Godzilla, doesn't Toho have 100% approval on look and depiction (behavior) of these characters of theirs???

Speaking of the cave paintings: in that final one of Godzilla fighting Ghidorah the points of Godzilla's dorsal fins are more extended than they were in the '14 film, where they were more subdued in favor of a single, prominent point. I hope that carries over into the Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

So was The Thing, and I'm pretty sure that came from space. Sure he might well end up as having an Earth-based origin, but nothing about being trapped in arctic ice precludes the possibility that he crashed to Earth and was frozen thousands of years ago or something like that.

I'm totally okay with King Ghidorah not being from space. Him being some ancient bad mofo super-species like Godzilla is a better origin than three-GMO-future-pets-get-nuked and-fuse-together.

What if Mothra's mystical element extends to the other monsters, their origins getting a mystic gloss? Mothra and King Ghidorah could be opposing dieties.

Yeah I'd be fine with that. It'd certainly help set them both up pretty quickly and easily as "destroyer" and "protector" for the uninitiated in the audience, and it'd be a good way to help build up the threat of Ghidorah before he actually appeared.
