I realized, this movie is some what Godzilla getting his revenge on the mutos. With the powers given to him by us, he now has the means to dish out some serious pain on them. The thing that makes me think this, is the part in the script where Goji tears off Hokmuto's wing and his facial look says "I DID THIS TO YOU". Kinda screams revenge and hatred towards these creatures and I like it

This article - http://www.businessinsider.com/godzilla ... eel-2014-4 - points out that the scene in the leaked script, in which a frozen carcass of an ancient Godzilla entwined with MUTOs was discovered, was dumped because of similarities to the scene in MAN OF STEEL wherein an ancient Kryptonian ship was discovered frozen in ice. The actual film apparently uses a skeleton of the ancient Godzilla that seems to have a MUTO appendage embedded in its spine. Check out the article for a great image of what the frozen Godzilla scene might have looked like.
