Rick and Morty

Apparently the show just ended it's first season, but I've been catching up on the episodes online.

It's dark, crazy, and fantastic.

This is the best original Adult Swim show in... honestly, it's been so long I don't even know. It's great.

I hadn't bothered with it because everything I had seen looked terrible.
Is it really that good?

I've been hearing a lot of chatter about this show so I decided to watch a few episodes the other day, I marathoned the entire series. Great show with really off the wall humor.

The "Lucky the Leprechaun" bit(I forget the exact episode) had one of the most haunting lines I've ever heard in anything, live action or animated, when he states as he dies, "I see demons!" This show is definitely quite quirky, and I find it quite enjoyable.

The season finale was top notch. Lots of funny parts with a real emotional gut punch. Damn you Tammy!

I too wasn't sure what to think about this show until a co-worker told me to check it out. I watched the entire first season in a day. Then I had a friend lend me the second season which is just as amazing as the first.

I hope this show sticks around for awhile because it's really good and is actually funny.

I caught an episode of this the other night. Probably not something I would watch regularly, but damn, it's smart as hell - some of the most clever writing I've ever seen in a cartoon. It's also outlandish and kind of off-putting, but that's part of the aesthetic I suppose.

Dan Harmon On Rick and Morty's Third Season and That Community Movie
Christine N. Ziemba wrote:While we had Dan Harmon on the line for our Harmonquest feature, Paste wanted to clear up a couple of internet rumors about his other beloved shows, including clarity around the release date of Rick & Morty’s third season. Kept under wraps, some sites are reporting the show is scheduled for an August release. “That I can squash. I don’t see any parallel universe where August is a possibility,” Harmon says. “We’re a while from being able to give a hard date. Part of that is just that we’re still figuring it out as we work over here… And the other part of it is that it’s not our right to say because the network has their own strategies.”

And after a recent interview with Larry King, in which Harmon discussed the possibility of a Community movie, the web buzzed with headlines like, “A Community Movie Will Happen.”

Harmon says that it’s part of the current clickbait culture. “I’m as certain that [a movie] needs to happen and that it probably will happen given the love behind that show, the passion of the performers involved, and the likelihood of it having an audience should it happen. It seems likely to me that it is an inevitability, but boy, that sure is different from saying, ‘It is happening.’”

The only thing Paste knows for sure is that Harmon’s newest show, Harmonquest, is out on Seeso now.

Anybody catch the SDCC panel where Harmon read the court transcript as Rick and Morty?

It's NSFW...or really anywhere, but it's hysterical.

They've surprised the Season 3 premier on us for April Fools. I think they're showing it on repeat because it's starting again. The season proper airs this summer.

Also: this show is so incredibly amazing.

What if Rick and Morty gets McDonalds to bring back their Sichuan sauce? Do you think the show would switch from schilling Carl's Jr./Hardees to schilling McD?

^Not only is there a purposefully disgusting Rick and Morty Carl's Jr/Hardee ad (that I've seen them run before, so there's precedent), but every airing of the new episode I've seen this week has been accompanied by this long-ass storytelling advertisement for the restaurant which lays out the complex mythology behind the brand. It's insane. I assume they're sponsoring this stunt.
