^I can't disagree more. Steven Universe offers a variety of strong and interesting female characters that is practically unsurpassed in an animated series not explicitly aimed directly at a female audience. All the Jems are distinct personalities and the mythology behind them is the driving force behind the show's plot, and when you add the other female characters like Connie and Sadie you have one of the most diverse and inclusive casts of women (race, body type, personalities, err... superpowers) on TV.

Steven is the main character, sure, but his entire quest is to become a valuable member of the team. The stories we see in the episodes largely revolve around his involvement, but in the background we see that the Jems are always going on missions without Steven (much to his consternation). It's a series in which a young, male character aspires to be like his female mentors.

When Ben10 Omniverse finishes its silent run burnoff this November, it will be the end of the action cartoon on CN.

I really like Steven Universe, but I would not put it in the category of something mainly action oriented like Omniverse, or Young Justice.

RIP Action Cartoon.

I can only pray the new Transformers cartoon is treated well.

Well, Korra is still around. But its streaming.

Omniverse will be the last action cartoon on CN, made by CN for the time being.

Online IS the way for this sort of stuff to go, I agree.

For now, it's pretty much dead. Korra is online, and it's going to end next month. Ben 10 Omniverse ended today, so RIP CN brand action shows.

All that's left is Turtles. I have that consolation, because this current series is awesome. Just hope it sticks around.

But it's airing on CW's digital platform CW Seed, so no actual TV air time.

While it's not Young Justice, it still is something.

You'd think that at the very least the Vixen miniseries would get a spot on Toonami -- this seems to lend still more credence to the idea that the folks at Cartoon Network don't like Warner Bros. Animation all that much. (Come to think of it, any of the DCAU movies could have been good choices for this past December's Toonami movie selections, but I don't believe any were even rumored)

DC has a bimonthly comic called Scooby-Doo Team-Up. So far they've met The Superfriends, several DC heroes individually (all in Silver Age mode), The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Jonny Quest (and family), and in the upcoming issue: Secret Squirrel.

Really hoping for Space Ghost and Herculoids crossovers.
