Well, count me as another one who liked the Green Lantern series. I wasn't expecting too much when it first aired, but it definitely was better than expected and actually got better as it went on. The same could be said with Young Justice as I thought the second season was better than the first. Now we'll never know how that Darkseid saga would've went. I can understand with the Disney thing, but you can probably add The Clone Wars to this list also. That show got better and better. At least we'll get bonus episodes sometime in 2014. I really don't know why action cartoons are becoming extinct since they've been a staple on TV programming forever. At least I still got my Three Stooges on IFC to fill my Saturday mornings.

Wow.... even wiki pulled the dates for the last 2 episodes (there was about a 3 week spacing until the last 2 aired in late november, but this is odd...) I know there were no toys to support it, but just wow.... They will probably air the last 2 episodes at some obscure time just to fulfill contractual obligation. I dont think they can refuse to air the episodes that are finished...I could be wrong though. I just want them to air so I can send CN a big fat bitter farewell letter. The Truth is I haven't actively watched CN since the first season of SW:TCW back in 2008, I've been watching everything online. BUT... This will be the first time since their newtork luanched 21 years ago that there hasn't been a damned thing on CN I care about. Everyone in charge over there should be fired. Of course, most of them are probably younger & richer than me and like brain dead comedies... Oh well...

^It's bizarre. Adventure Time is their most popular show, yet it goes against so much of the CN executives' conventional wisdom. Then they produce Steven Universe, which goes against it even moreso!

Now they're reviving the Powerpuff Girls - which was one their biggest franchise and was heavily merchandised to girls with great success!!!

CN's very successes disprove the conventional wisdom!

I don't even get the appeal in Adventure Time. I watched some episode where the dog was giving the boy the sex talk using stairs as a base and it was just stupid.

I've only seen one episode of Adventure Time that a friend showed me and I was actually really impressed. Enough that I actually want to try and watch it whenever I catch up on other shows I'm watching.

It is sad to see quality shows like Young Justice, Green Lantern and even Tron: Uprising (which I was pleasantly surprised with) bite the dust. Especially now when it seems like they come up with good premises more often than not. I used to steer clear of American action cartoons after that Batman: Animated Series era just because they seemed to become rather generic. But the past few years have been kick ass, aside from the fact that networks are determined to kill anything with potential. Its rather disheartening for someone just getting back into the groove, much less people who have been in tune for years.

Young Justice, yes, Tron Uprising seemed good (only watched the first episode when Disney posted it online since I don't have cable), but I hated GL to death. The CGI looked bad, they totally ****ed up the Red Lanterns, and the voices left something to be desired.

With CN burning off the remaining Beware the Batman episodes late night on Toonami I'm beginning to hear people say the same thing I've been thinking for a while now: the in-house CN people and the WB/DC people do not like each other.

It makes a lot of sense, and it's not just the DC and action cartoons that have been treated poorly; look at how Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated was marginalized. I caught an episode of the new Tom and Jerry show on CN the other day - I had no idea it had even premiered, and it was on in the middle of the day!

The situation is basically this: the CN people are... well, the people who work at CN. CN and WB (who own DC) are different groups, but are both owned by Time Warner, so when the WB wants to make a show to exploit their various properties (like the Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, Batman, Superman, ect.) it's a given that it's going to CN. CN, however, wants it's in-house shows to have priority. If their shows succeed they reap the reward, when someone else's show on your network is a success you only get part of the reward.

I think WB should either do what Hasbro did and create their own network or go straight to some online service like Netflix.

I didn't catch any of Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc.when it was first on, but it has recently been added to Boomerang's summer schedule and I've seen a few episodes now. What I've seen has been great, very nice successor series of the original show, I especially like the serial nature of Mystery Inc.

Even how Cartoon Network chooses to promote shows and repeat shows seems to minimize the WB owned properties. When ThunderCats was still running, you only had one maybe two chances to catch an episode until CN decided to air it again. But over the past week, CN ran the newest episode of Adventure Time no less than 4 times. (Nothing against AT, just a comparison) And of course shows like Annoying Orange received far more commercials than CN ever gave the recent ThunderCats show or the new Tom and Jerry show. Even the recent Looney Tunes Show had a lower amount of commercials compared to CN's owned properties that the network wants to push.

It's weird. Comic book, sci-fi, and fantasy stuff has all become mainstream and successful now, but for some reason, action cartoons have stayed in the doghouse, I don't get it.

You know, while CN wasn't a friend to Warner Brothers produced cartoons the friendly folks at the Warner Archive are. They've released the first two seasons of The Brave and the Bold, have quickly put out both seasons of Young Justice, and now will release the complete series of the revived Thundercats!

It's nice that Warner Archive is providing all of these series on BRD, but honestly, they were produced in HD anyway, so adding them to their MOD is really a low-risk way to get the product out there for the fans who want it, more a common sense move than anything else. What would really show some love for the fans is to take any of those series (Thundercats, YJ, or GL) that they offer on BRD and actually produce NEW episodes. Make them exclusive to Netflix, or another online streaming service, then eventually release them in a home media format (ala Clone Wars season 6), THAT would prove that someone at WB really cared beyond the CN screwjob these series got, but sadly I don't think that is ever going to happen.

It's interesting that the very last show I watched that happened to air on CN (Dreamworks Dragons), is going to now be a Netflix exclusive starting next year for its 3rd season. Also it pains me that the newest Transformers series (Robots in Disguise) is going back to CN from a nice home it had on the HUB (changing to Discovery..) If this series is half-way decent it will be killed off in 26 episodes or less. If it awful like TT Go, or the other countless garbage comedies they have, it will probably thrive, in which case I wont be watching.
