Just skimmed through some of the 13 "lost" episode descriptions on Netflix. One thing I've noticed is that there seems to be no mentions of Ahsoka after the events of the end of Season 5.

Honestly all this speculation about possibly abandoning the EU would be the single worst decision for SW that could ever be made. (though I have confidence in Filoni, he's made good use of the EU without disrupting it to much, it's whoever will ltimately be in charge of Episode VII that worries me)Look what happened with Star Trek. Sure it was never nearly as tight a canon as Star Wars, but creating an "alternate" timeline with JJ's two trendy films has all but destroyed the franchise. I was never a big Star Trek fan, but I have friends who are die hard Trekkies and they've told me they have almost abandoned being fans altogether. If this happens with Star Wars, I might do the same. I guess the bright side is that selling well over 100 novels would give me a little extra cash, and plenty of shelf space for other things. I just hope it doesn't come to that.

The notion that the JJ Abrams movies have destroyed Star Trek is just dumb. All those original things are still there and still mater...nothing changes that.

Same with Star Wars. If the new series goes down a pathway you don't like, then just ignore it and use you own preferred timeline from the EU.

Personally, I think abandoning the EU is a GOOD idea: 95% of people know little to nothing about it, it doesn't seem to do much (from the POV of someone who only knows MINIMAL amounts about it) other than complicate and confuse things, it would be restrictive on any filmmakers looking to make a movie and honestly, I'd rather have a GOOD Star Wars movie/story than something that fits the Lucas-approved EU perfectly.

Keep in mind though, I'm not someone who knows much of anything about the EU aside from its existence.

I love abandoning the EU.
It's dumb to adhere to it. I have a friend who has been insanely angry and fearful that the EU would be discarded.

The movies we've seen matter most...because that's what people have seen.
If they've even seen that (I have met a ton of people who think Star Wars/Star Trek
are the same thing).

Why restrict things to all that garbage anyhow?

Rebels will be canceled after two seasons. Not because it is bad, but because it is Greg Weisman.

As for the EU, good riddance. We don't need Disney having to be forced to adhere to fanfiction just because people treat Star Wars like a god.

I'm totally down for this. Although I wonder if they'll be able to straight up murder folks like the Clone Wars did, it being owned by and on a Disney channel now.

Having seen that trailer, if nothing else it's the final death-knell for Tron: Uprising. The tone and plot of the two shows looks identical. I'd much rather have more Tron, though Disney have made it impossible for me to demonstrate that to them due to the gaping absence of a blu-ray or even DVD release of Uprising.

Honestly, no. I stopped watching Clone Wars during the first season as I was bored. Plus, I hate watching TV shows on TV.

I have been thinking about giving it another shot though since it is over. On the other hand, it did not lead into RotS, so maybe I shouldn't.

Nevertheless, I'd rather the show be well written that be all violent.

Well there were a few issues I had with Clone Wars that lead to why I stopped watching it:

1. Like I said watching TV shows on TV just does not work for me. I hate the commercial interruptions. I hate the constant breaks between episodes. It is going to be interesting to see how I do it this Fall as I want to watch Flash, Arrow, and Constantine as they air. I mean, I did it with Game of Thrones this past year, but at least those don't have commercials interrupting the episode every 4 minutes. Plus, I enjoyed watching the first two seasons of Arrow in the span of a few days.

2. I really did not care for the CGI in CW. I thought it looked bland. Sure, the execution looks better than the CGI in older shows like Beast Wars, but I don't feel they are as detailed.

3. Ashoka. I really really REALlY hate Ashoka. She was on Jar Jar levels of annoying.

4. There never seemed to really be any truly credible threat. Every episode I saw had Anakin and Ashoka saving the day, which made it seem like this was not really a war because the Sith were always losing. It also did not help that Grievous did not even seem to be as strong as he was in the Genndy toon.

5. The episodes seemed to be more about the Jedi than the Clones. When I see Clone Wars plastered on the screen, I expect to see a series that heavily features the clones and gives us main characters that are clones with heavily development. My favorite episode of the ones i watched was one that was like 95% on the clones. It was the one where there was some type of creature on the loose and the clones were on their own to stop it.

6. It seemed to contradict the events in the movies as Anakin was not supposed to meet Grievous until after he had kidnapped Palpatine. Yet, he faces Grievous in like the third episode (the Malevolence one I believe).

Now in Rebels, the Inquisitor really interests me a lot as they said they are going to make him a true threat to the heroes, which is good. I'm just curious if we will see Vader appear in the series at all. I also want to know where the timeline takes place as I actually would love to see a story set after the first Death Star has been blown up. I mean, there has to be more to it than Vader just calling Palpatine to tell him the Death Star was blown up and he starts crying over the phone.

While the Jedi and the Sith are big players in Clone Wars, there are some great stories that are basically clone only or clone centric, and they are some of the best. In the last seasons there was a several episode arc about the jerk jedi and tension between the loyal clones and ones mutinying against him. That's why I loved the Republic Commando books so much (which were canceled due to how they handled Mandolrian lore and what they were going to do with the Mandolorians in Clone Wars, which I'm still kind of bitter about).

And the Separatists and Sith do go get some victories in the show as well. Sure when Padame is hunted by a hitman, you know she's not going to die, but it's still fun.

The animation grew on me after awhile. I still think it's a bit too sudden movement twitchy with the action, not enough smooth animation (but Rebels might have the same issues from the clips I've seen). And the painted coloration took a bit to get used to too.

I liked it. Something seemed off about the Stormtroopers though. They seemed too rounded, small, and the helmets looked over sized. Might just be the show's style, but it was off putting a little. It won't ruin the show but it took me out of a few scenes.

All in all I liked it and can't wait to see more episodes.
