The series has a lot going for it. Being set in a time OT fans are more familiar with, and generally enjoy more. Familiar ship designs, and tons of John Williams music queues. Heck they even took Ralph McQuarries original chewbacca design and created a whole new character. Its just... I dont know... Not that the designs in TCW were that great, but the colors seemed to be right for the Star Wars universe, more muted and dull. Rebels seems to be a bit too cheery & colorful. The storm troopers look "bubbly" like they are made of marshmallow or something... I dont know... I guess its jut a different design choice, I'm sure I'll adjust in time, should be a good series overall though.

I finally watched the first two episodes and I like it so far. The scene with Vader in episode 1 was cool even if pointless and I like the new characters, especially the demolitions girl. My complaint is how worthless the Stormtroopers are. For the most part, the animation is good (at least as good as CGI can be), but the Wookies looked terrible and I don't like how C3PO did not look the least bit dirty. Space Aladdin is a cool main character even if he is cliche, but overall, I am enjoying it and look forward to watching the next set of episodes.

I'm still surprised that i like this as much as I did. It took a while before I warmed to Clone Wars and I really watched it via marathoning Seasons 1 and 2 when I received them as Christmas gifts.

Dang. That finale. This is the closest these animated episodes have ever come to feeling like Star Wars.
I hope they'll do a full season release soon.

I have to admit, when it was revealed who Fulcrum was, I did a fist pump! They've done a very good job with this series, hopefully we won't have to wait long for the next season.

I loved season 1 and I feel like Season 2 is going to be escalating things in amazing ways. Honestly I'm more excited for this than I was any season of Clone Wars.

DVD & BRD of Season 1 came out yesterday. Season 2 Begins airing on 10/14/15. Not sure if it will be a re-airing of Seige of Lothal, or start with new episodes, but at least we have a date.

Just watched the new preview shown at NYCC. The season starts next Wednesday. The question most people have is--who is the Bounty Hunter Sabine is facing off against? Her identity may not be revealed, but I know the voice! - It is Gina Torres (Vixen from JLU & Airachnid from TFP) among others. I looked up her work history on voice chasers, but they are good. Not showing anything probably until the episode with that character actually appears.

Oh, and while I have not been a fan of Ashoka Tano up to this point, White Lightsabers, pretty darn cool .

Also the best quote from Hondo (shown on an earlier preview) "Be a Pirate Jedi!"

Neat to see SW:R continuing to source unused concept art for new characters, I hope they continue the trend.

I'm pretty sure that the first season's late Grand Inquisitor began as a concept character from Tron Legacy or Tron: Uprising. The Grand Inquisitor's color palette was spot on if you wanted to plug him in as one of the MCP's lieutenants in Tron and a lightsabre that's conveniently stored as a ring on his back practically screams T:L era identity disc.

EDIT: Also, the recent B-Wing episode, "Wings of the Master", sounds like it uses some music from The Rocketeer -- specifically the Main Title "takeoff" I think it's called. Here's a Youtube video of the Rocketeer's sound track at about 2 minutes in, compare it to when Hera is flying the B-Wing a little shy of 15 minutes into the episode.
