Yes, I noticed this yesterday. I don't know if they just added S2 (because only S1 was on there for the longest time), or if S1 actually disappeared and they brought the whole show back. I thought it was odd since most other WB DC toons have long since vanished on Netflix (aside from JL & JLU that are hanging on somehow). And of course, I purchased the Blu Rays for YJ as soon as they became available. Did the same for Green Lantern, Thundercats, Beware the Batman, and Batman the Brave and the Bold (thought still waiting for season 3 on that one.... grrr... hurry up WB shop).

However...I don't now if watching a show on Netflix perpetually ever helped revive a show. I mean I watched the heck out of most of Marvels Animated series when they were on there, as I know many others did as well --however 90's Spider-Man is still THE highest requested cartoon not on DVD, and as far as I know, Disney has no plans to release it.

Still I gave YJ as 5 star rating eons ago (it still retains memory from shows that disappear, then reappear later). Of course, I certainly wont mind watching S2 again in my spare time, or if I am too lazy to put my Blu Ray discs in .

This is probably me reading too much into this but... I just noticed that on most sites, the fictitious events that occur to compose the 6 month period of the 2nd season of YJ are supposed to be from 1/1/16 to 7/4/16 (ending on July 4th of this year), after a 5 year gap from the first season. I was just thinking, in connection with Weismans Tweet from above, and the coincidence of this appearing on Netflix now. I wonder if by 7/21/16 at SDCC, perhaps a revival of YJ could be announced? If...it proves popular enough on Netflix, and Blu Ray sales that is....

Funny that all this YJ stuff came around now. The show was just mentioned in a Cracked article "5 Ridiculous Reasons Awesome TV Shows Were Canceled". From the article:

I was born a 30-year-old man, and I've only gotten older, so I never really enjoyed movies and TV shows with young main characters. Needless to say, I was reluctant to check out Young Justice, because it was a cartoon about teenage (uuugh) sidekicks from the DC universe trying to establish themselves as legitimate superheroes. But then I thought that there might be enough Batman there to make it worth my while, so one day I put it on, and then I immediately started working on a time machine so I could slap my younger self for not watching the show sooner.

As it turns out, there isn't that much Batman in the show, but at the same time there is, in the sense that Young Justice feels very much like Batman: The Animated Series because of how seriously it treats the audience while dealing with some heavy subjects. You have Superboy's daddy issues, Miss Martian's borderline-body dysphoria, Red Arrow's entire story arc -- oh, and that "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" Halloween episode. All in all, Young Justice is one of those rare, beautifully written, beautifully animated cartoons that really anyone can enjoy. And that's pretty much why it was canceled in 2013.

During an interview with Kevin Smith, Batman: TAS writer Paul Dini explained that Cartoon Network ended Young Justice because it didn't like the type of people it was attracting, namely the penisly challenged. Dini claims to have actually heard executives say, "We do not want girls watching this show," which was a problem because, as it turned out, women made up a significant chunk of Young Justice's audience.

The studio's reasoning was that older female viewers would either a) not buy Young Justice toys or b) demand the WRONG Young Justice toys, like official Batgirl tampons or something. What actually pisses me off the most, though, is not the economically nonsensical sexism but rather that Cartoon Network saw Young Justice, probably one of the greatest animated shows of the last few years, as just a vehicle to sell toys. It's like telling someone to make you Cars and then complaining that you got Up instead.

Young Justice really does deserve a third season (and further still). With this "rumor" for more Young Justice and a forthcoming sixth season for Samurai Jack, it kind of makes me wonder if fans have an unknown ally with some good pull inside Cartoon Network. Surely, SJ and YJ are on the short list for pretty much any fan of CN's action shows -- and SJ is returning as a proper 6th season not as a comedy show as in the case of Teen Titans Go!. And with this rumor describing a YJ season 3 presumably that means a proper new season for YJ not a comedy show.

If they bring back the Joker, I'd like to see Brent Spiner (aka Data) reprise the role of the Clown Prince of Crime.

been following the rumors with quiet optimism.... there are still a lot of things that can happen between production & actually releasing the episodes, but I am still beyond ecstatic to say the least. This HAS to be on NETFLIX. 1. It was show producers and voice talent that encouraged fans to watch the show on Netflix & purchase the Blu Rays. 2. WB doesn't have a presence for action series anymore since CN went to crap (and cancelled YJ and several others in the first place). Having this on Netflix and *potentially* producing several more seasons would be a nice middle finger to CN. This is why I, or my kids support everything we can DreamWorks related on Netflix. Since they cut ties with CN & Nickelodean, they have been flourishing on Netflix. Hopefully YJ can do the same.

That would be awful because while it is an action cartoon, it still appeals to the masses, whereas most cartoons on Adult Swim appeal to a niche group aimed specifically at adults (I haven't watched AS since they stopped showing Futurama, that was at least 10 years ago). YJ is not some adult fare, or obscure anime, it REALLY needs to be on Netflix, with release on Blu-Ray shortly thereafter.

^But with Adult Swim being the home of Toonami it makes a certain amount of sense. After all; they are airing a new season of Samurai Jack and once upon a time Toonami carried DCAU shows.

The new Samurai Jack, who's last episode aired 12 years ago,is aimed specifically at adult fans who prompted the shows comeback, and has always been a CN exclusive. Now I know that it was mostly adults also that pleaded for YJ to come back, but YJ just went off the air 3 years ago, so everyone -kids, teens, adults, would recognize this show, especially since it is on Netflix and is getting a lot of exposure, and it is really made for all ages. You could probably do a "Teens React to" Youtube vid on Samurai Jack, and none of them would know what it was, though that might generate some new interest in the show. Showing YJ late at night on AS would be a disservice to, and miss a huge group of the fan base. Yes AS aired DCAU shows however they had already been in rerun for years, as did many other networks and stations. I'm just saying there would be much better exposure on Netflix where S1 and S2 already are. Anyone could watch anytime they wanted vs. AS when only presumably adults who stay up late into the night might watch on random chance, or DVR, and if you miss it, oh well..., then you'd have to settle for watching it through some shady means like kisscartoon. Besides why would the creators of the YJ series want to go back to the network that idiotically canceled them in the first place?

^Here's a compromise: have it on both!

I mean, you can premier the whole kit and caboodle on Netflix, call it a 'Netflix Original,' but I'll bet Toonami would be glad to have it and air it even if all the episodes are already available to Netflix subscribers.

Yes, but he is a great writer as-is. IMHO sexual preference (gay or straight) should not be the focus of any action oriented comic-book series. Its about doing good and saving the world, not who likes who etc....Also to show that I am unbiased, I'm not a big fan of scenes like the very end of s1, when its new years and everybody on the team finds someone to kiss just because its "tradition"

Now if only Spectacular Spider-Man would return.
