Wow -- great trailer! I hope this new show gets a home video release (blu-ray preferably) otherwise I won't be able to watch it anytime soon.

I have very high hopes for this! The original Voltron is very nostalgic, but time has not been kind. It's a rough show to rewatch as an adult. If this new show is half as good as it looks I will be one very happy camper.

Oh wow, haven't thought about War Planets in ages. They were pretty neat toys, don't remember the show much...
That 3D Voltron was very ugly, even by the standards of the time. At least ReBoot was able to use the limitations as part of the premise. That Voltron looked like a bad video game cutscene. As bad as the remakes were, even the original Voltron is a rough show to go back to as an adult. That's why I'm excited for the new series, it actually looks like a quality production.

I love it!
It has a Space Opera feel to it. But its distinctly a Super Robot show.\
It has everything it needs to be. Also some "unexpected" twists (that I saw coming).
I love how the show adapts both from Voltron AND Golion. No Sven, but Shiro. Not Planet Doom Drules, but THE GALRA EMPIRE from Golion.
I can't wait until Prince Lotor shows up if he at all does.

I watched the entire season this afternoon and it was fantastic. Easily the best Voltron show ever (I count the original 52 episode dub as Golion). It had a perfect mix of drama and comedy and the characters are all likable. The twist they did with Pidge was really neat too and unexpected. I also like how much stronger Allura is while Coran is taking some time to get used to. He has some really great one liners though. Hunk is probably my favorite of the bunch though. Oh and I like how they actually gave Keith a personality. On the other hand, while badass, Zarkon and Hagar do pretty much nothing until the final episode. In fact, they aren't even developed in the slightest throughout the 13 episodes (I'm counting the premier as 3 episodes), which really sucks. Lotor isn't even in the damn thing. Another thing that was pretty neat though is they are even using some of the Japanese names such as Allura and Coran being from Altea and Zarkon rules the Galra Empire. A nice little homage there. This does to the Voltron franchise what the more recent Thundercats show did to that series. I can't wait for the second half to premier later on this year as the cliff hanger was really frustrating (in a good way). I'll most likely buy this series on BD when it comes out.
Oh, and I found it quite enjoyable that Voltron wasn't being used every episode. In fact, I think there was a moment when 3 episodes went by before they even used him.

Well that is a shame because I won't rewatch something if I don't own it. Like I haven't rewatched DD at all or given JJ a second chance until I can watch it on BD.

I've watched the first 7 episodes and wow. I love this show, and can't wait for a toyline. I'm staggering the episodes because I don't wanna rush through them so quickly.

I've only watched 2 episodes, but both me and my wife are enjoying the show so far. It's cool to have something I can watch with her, though she does watch a lot of kaiju movies with me. I appreciate the slapsitck humor.

I'm really digging just about everything about it. I like that the lions get a chance to shine, and that not every episode even has a battle. The pacing is great, so when they form Voltron it feels special and powerful. The jokes don't bother me too much, some of them land pretty well. It lends to the light, hopeful atmosphere. My only real complaint is the music. It's not bad but sounds generic, and it's a shame because while the original show is hard to go back to, it has a kick-ass theme. Bring on those toys!

The second season of Netflix's breakout animated series "Voltron: Legendary Defender" has been confirmed. Let's go, Voltron Force!
