It will be interesting to see how his interpretaiton compares with Corey Burton (has always done it in DCU).

Superman is without a doubt my favorite DC character. But it seems his solo DC movies since 2007 (Doomsday, All-Star, & vs The Elite) have all been just awkward. The Justice League films and pairings with Batman have always worked better IMHO. vs The Elite is probably my favorite of the 3 solo Superman films so far, but I'd jst like to see a "classic" Superman story that isn't full of angst and attitude I guess.

Superman Unbound: Summer 2013
Justice League Flashpoint: Fall 2013

Superman is admittedly my favorite DC characters, but I have to agree that none of his solo films have been that impressive (judgment pending on Unbound until I see it). But the best films in the entire run have been the Justice League or Superman/Batman team ups IMHO.

The pattern seems to be set they try to release 3 films per year in the Winter/Summer/Fall of each year. I know it takes more effort to create an animated film than a TV series, but I figure in quantity of animation with 3 films averaging about 70-75 minuets each we are getting the equivalent of 10-11 TV episodes each year as we would if this were a TV series, so as long as they keep coming, I'll be interested.

My top favorites are:

The Dark Knight Returns (when both parts are together)
The Spectre
Jonah Hex
Green Lantern First Flight
Batman Under the Red Hood
Wonder Woman

Now obviously The Spectre and Jonah Hex are shorts, but I think they are far superior to any of the full length movies and want them to get their own full length features.

The only stand alone Superman one I like is vs The Elite. The others have been borderline boring.

While the premise sounds interesting, I really dislike that cartoon style. Supes just looks wrong.

Guess I'll be the lone wolf and say I'm looking forward to Unbound. I don't think the Superman movies have been tops, but I certainly enjoyed Doomsday and vs. the Elite a great deal. The Elite being may favorite solo Supes adventure from this slate so far.

I actually just saw the preeview for "Unbound" and am actually looking forward to it now. "Elite" was probably the best Superman solo film to date, but still not what I would consider great. My top 5 are:

Batman/Superman Public Enemies
Batman/Superman Apocalypse
Justice League: Doom
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths &
Green Lantern Emerald Knights

The Best Short for me would have to be Superman/Shazam

I thought that was John Noble. Sounded like him, and its a great choice. I just don't like the style of the animation.

SCOOP: Bruce Timm Taking Break....But Returning With More JUSTICE LEAGUE

Exactly when the series will debut depends on WB's plans for the Justice League live-action movie as they want to launch the new cartoon around the same time as the film.

Well JLU ended in the spring of 2006, so it's been a solid 7 years. Though some of the DC animated movies used the same voice talent, none of them were offcially set in the DCAU. I'd love to see a return.

Oddly enough I just re watched "Destroyer" (The final episode of JLU) today since it was added to Netflix. I'd love to see what happened after the disappearance of Darkseid & Luthor.

Also because there is no longer the limitations of a Bat-Embargo or Teen-Titans, the DCAU could include the younger heroes and be closer to Young Justice but more from the adults POV rather than the younger heroes. I would love to see it happen.

YES! YES! YES! (Happy Dance!) Best news on the animation front in a long time. And if that means other characters will be getting shown in the animated releases, that's double the reason to be celebrating! :calvin:

I don't see exactly where they're getting this, but if this is what they're doing, it sounds neat.

Looks mostly like speculation based on Eric Guzman concept art of the N52 JL animated. I admit I like the idea of actually having the original 7 (plus Cyborg), but some of their designs I'm not too fond of. But again its only conceopt art. There really hasnt been a full on DC series I haven't enjoyed in the past 20 years (except maybe Teen Titans GO! which is a joke and I dont watch). So any series based on multiple characters in the DC Universe would be welcome, though Young Justice will be a tough act to follow.

pre-order for Flashpoint is on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Dcu-Justice-Flash ... flashpoint

Now is that odd time between now & San Diego comic-con you wonder if any news will slip out. Will this be the last DCU direct-to-DVD movie? I guess all we can do is wait.
