So it looks like we are getting a Groot-zilla for Animezilla.

^Hmmm... like a god of the Earth or something of that nature.

The Bandai was blue, right? Maybe we're seeing different incarnations of Godzilla within the movie's extended timeframe?

Maybe Godzilla grows to such a gigantic size over 20,000 years that forests and other ecosystems start growing on his body. Maybe those soldiers in the forest are actually traversing Godzilla.

Does he not have eyes? That would make sense if he's a plant that's evolved to mimic animal life.

I got a few more shots from different angles.

So...I'm just curious, if this is supposed to be released in all territories in November, I'm surprised there has been no news about an English voice cast yet. I assume only being 3 months away the dubbing/ADR would have to be well under way, if not already completed...?

I certainly wouldn't rule out Godzilla having multiple forms, and we already know he has offshoots because that's what the servum are.

With three movies to fill I assume we're in for a string of surprises.

I know there's plenty of plant-based characters in pop culture, but the one really coming to my mind is Swamp Thing, specifically Alan Moore's reinvention of the character and the various abilities he had...

First pics of the promotional statue are appearing on twitter. He does have dark, deep-set eyes!

The more I see of this design, the more I like it. The plantlike aspects are weird but interesting. I feel like such a drastic change to the character should offend me, but at the moment, I'm simply curious to learn more about it. Overall, the design is sufficiently different from G2014 to allay my worries there. I especially like his wolf-like head (though I may not be in love with the tiny eyes). My fear now is that he'll actually look worse in the movie(s) than he does in figure and statue form.

Yeah, it has eyes. The toy sculpture looks incomplete anyway.

I'm not entirely sure what to make of this Godzilla design in that trailer since he seems to look so different depending on the shot. I do like how the design looks in the form of that statue and that figure. It's like the G'14 body shape with skinnier legs, longer feet, more jagged dorsal fins, and a wolflike face with a ghostly grin.

It looks like either he has no skin covering his "metal-like" muscles or they're just so thick and sinewy that you can see their exact shape bulging through his skin. Either way, this is not a scaly-skinned Godzilla which is an interesting aesthetic change.

This looks like an 80s Chinese knockoff of the legendary Godzilla. I am very disappointed with this design. Without the constraints of using a suit or doing live action filming, they could have made the Godzilla design for the decade and yet they went with the blandest, boring design they could have thought of.

Wow -- that lottery figure really shows off that this is some sort of plant based Godzilla creature. It is nice to see a proper foot on the base Legendary Godzilla design -- the stump foot never made much sense to me.

If this "Godzilla" is not the real Godzilla it does make you wonder what it is exactly.

Yeah, I also heard more about the plant origin of this Godzilla. Weird.
