I keep all movies featuring Toho chronological, whether they're Japanese or American produced, then have a separate Daiei section.
I'm wondering, if I end up not being really into the anime, whether or not I'll bother buying it. With the live action flicks, I feel compelled as a collector, even when I don't care for them. I don't know if "theatrically released motion picture" will be my standard, or if the fact that it's animated will make me think of it as a secondary medium, like the novels, comics, or TV projects, and thus optional.
