I don't mind his giant dorsal fins as I do the giant bulging chest and the scrawny arms. I didn't like the chest in Shin Godzilla and I don't like it here. I understand that this is probably fan art, but I just hope they keep with the classic design in this movie. Updates and subtle changes can be a good thing, but when they make the proportions so overly exaggerated or stylized it looks awkward and distracting.

Man, it seems we know more about Godzilla: King of the Monsters and that's two years away, meanwhile we know next to zilch about the Japanese Godzilla film that's only months away.

... still, it's a luxury to have such a problem. The great kaiju drought of the mid-'00s to early '10s seems like a distant memory.

^That looks great! My biggest problem with their animation I've seen is the way the humans look/move, but there it seems they've got a nice medium between the CG and traditional styles. Of course, that may just be (like you said) due to budget.

I'm happy because I have Netflix, but not everybody does. There are a few shows on there I am still waiting to be available to get on some sort of physical media.

Sweet. That's the way to go in terms of distribution - so long as we eventually get a physical home media release as well.

I see that the most prominent Netflix Original/Polygon Pictures series, Knights of Sidonia, is released on Blu-Ray here by Sentai Filmworks. Maybe they'll do it as they already deal with both parties and Toho (Kraken releasing is just one of their labels).

I don't know the particulars of the deal with Knights of Sidonia (like I mentioned, a 'Netflix Original' by Polygon that's released on home video by Sentai Filmworks), but I suppose even though it has the 'Netflix Original' banner it's really just streaming rights and others are free to scoop up the home video rights?
