LIke I said, I can look past the origin, but the other stuff (Godzilla replicating and splitting into a smaller Godzilla) are horrible ideas. When you combine those with the tadpole idea, this becomes GINO levels of bad in terms of how they are dealing with Godzilla.

I'll still watch the movie, but these rumors make the plot sound like gutter trash. It doesn't sound like Godzilla to me - it sounds like an "insert any monster here" kinda thing. Actually, what it sounds like is Hedorah, but I digress.

So...sounds like a really standard Godzilla movie to me and those hoping for a crazy, over the top affair will thankfully be disappointed. The tadpole and splitting ideas sucked. The reviewer also said Godzilla was very stiff...which also stinks. We will see how the rest of it plays out.

All those people who wanted an over the top Godzilla movie with tadpoles and a baby Godzilla are going to be disappointed. It might still be good, but it will not be the insanity of the rumored plot we read before.

Apparently the movie re-uses a lot of familiar music cues. The Battle in Outer Space theme is played when humanity defeat's Godzilla, mirroring the sequence at the end of Invasion of the Astro-Monsters.

I wouldn't believe any of the stuff you read on 2chan. The tadpole thing, especially. The music cues were confirmed a few days ago when the track listing had Ikfukube's scores attached.

I admit - this doesn't seem like Godzilla to me at all and looks like a complete bastardization of the character. This belongs in Ultraman, not Godzilla. I'll watch the movie, but I'm beyond furious that THIS is what Toho allowed Anno to do with Godzilla.
