Funimation is tweeting a pic from all 29 Toho Godzilla movies, one a day, counting down to the American release of Shin Godzilla.

It's pretty cool.

I'm glad they are showing this in the original Japanese with subtitles vs. any kind of dub.

A theater in walking distance from where I live is showing this in the East Village,NYC; looking forward to seeing this on the big screen.

Got my work schedule finally and was able to buy my tickets today. Can't wait! I'm almost entirely spoiler free still (having no social media accounts whatsoever can have its advantages...) and am very excited! And I'll be there opening night! PUMPED!

On this forum as long as I stay away from the spoiler section of Shin Godzilla, I've pretty much been left spoiler free. Youtube on the other hand is another story. I was just watching a kitten video (yes I love cats lol) the other day when I got a suggested video on Shin Godzilla were the title of the video spoiled a plot point for me! GRRR!!!!!

I also finally got a ticket for Shin Godzilla for both me and my wife for October 11! The theater is 45 minute drive from where we are, so I'll be taking a few hours off from work to avoid rush hour traffic. But so excited!!! Can't wait!!!!!

HELL YEAH!!!! The Drafthouse just put up their tickets for the movie, so I already got my seats. In fact, we were the first ones to buy them.

Nice, I considered seeing it at the Alamo, but the location near me showing it is the older location (much closer to my house, but an old style theater with no stadium seating and kinda starting to show its age - it needs to be renovated). The much nicer, newer, (and unfortunately further) Alamo didn't have it listed when I bought my tickets.

But I'm kinda happy to be seeing it at a regular theater anyway. As good as the waiters are at being non-intrusive to your viewing experience, you DO have to briefly interact with them a couple times and I HATE HATE HATE getting interrupted when trying to read subtitles... Especially on a brand new movie I'm pumped for and can't rewind...

I will miss the awesome Alamo preshow though... I'm sure they've got some sweet stuff lined up. They knocked it out of the park at the Destroy All Drafthouses 4 film marathon a few years ago!

Has anyone posted this Sci-Fi Japan article about all the dates at Carmike Cinemas? There'll only be five showings at theaters in this chain (or maybe all theaters?): 7:30pm for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and the following Tuesday. 1:30 pm for that Saturday.

I feel bad for fans in the furthest Northeast. No theaters in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, or Rhode Island are getting Shin Godzilla. Also, none in Montana or Wyoming, one theater each for North Dakota and South Dakota, and three each in Nebraska and Idaho. Fans in that cluster of states are getting the short end of the stick too. I guess I should count myself lucky that I only have to drive two hours in any direction to get to a theater showing this.

And now add Mexico to the list, Cinemex announced on its Twitter account that they will bring the movie to Mexico, the date still pending, they already had a title: "Godzilla Resurge".
