if anybody will look back over my posts, you'll see that I was all for a solo film, and I think Godzilla CAN be something MORE than just a monster...
but Legendary apparently doesn't think American audiences will accept him that way (and why should they? the most profitable Godzilla movies are the most brainless ones [king kong vs. godzilla...] while very very few Americans have ever seen the ONE good movie where Godzilla really is something, MORE and those that have [unfortunately] scoffed at it [Ebert's review of the the original film is less than glowing] )
one by one, my more pessimistic views on this film are coming true...
it's just that i'm learning to accept it.
