James Ballard wrote:It's nothing to do with the scenes they're paired with. A film with multiple composers with incredibly different styles of music is just never going to work properly. The tone of the whole movie would be inconsistent.

It's also one of the reasons why the score to Final Wars is a frickin' disaster.

To Zekend01:
Well, yea. But I wouldn't like it going to a Lamb of God/Dethklok level stuff... Keep it to Dio-Era Black Sabbath or Nightwish/Megadeth...

I loved GFW's soundtrack BTW...

Eh. I must be really, really old fashioned. Because the idea of a Godzilla movie with a metal score gives me chills, and not in a good way. Give me a more old school, fully orchestrated score any day.

Yes, I post alot. Wanna know why? I have gotten out some times and walked around my neighbor hood and stuff. But that is all I can do in terms of "getting out". Wanna know why? 1. Money issues. Living off a dead father's wellfare is friggin restricting. Not to mention some medical costs every month by a certaint older family member. 2. Same family member doesn't like me going out very much. So being an active forum member is a part of every day life for me. Not an hobby. While I have grown to realize durring my time here that something that is considered a "hobby" should not be your life, things in your life may push you back into that hobby. Not to mention that I only post what, 6-9 times a day. That is a very reasonable amount. Plus, untill I get a job I have no money so I cannot drive anf expect my mother to pay my gas bill. Hence another reason why I have never been to G-FEST or have a copy of G-FAN and rather collect memborbilia than figures.

We haven't had a meltdown at Monster Zero in ages! By the way, I kinda love how you disregarded all our advice to you and decided to make Monster Zero part of your life, and not a hobby. Seriously.

Everyone has issues, Evanescense. You act like you're the first person who has ever had problems like these. The fact that every single person in thread is getting tired of this should be a huge red flag for you.

No matter what your problems are, a forum dedicated to giant rubber fictional monsters should not be a part of your every day life. If it is...well then that's pretty sad. It's also funny (to me at least) that you showed up at TK after being banned claiming to have changed when you obviously haven't.

What is a red flag is people complaining because I post. My reasons are understandable. Now please stop.

It's nothing, I just don't want you to get frustrated. I mean, leading lifes on two forums can really put strain on a person.

If you want people to stop being hostile, then you should probably stop being hostile and quit taking such a defensive tone whenever you respond to something you don't like. No one should have to ignore another member, not when that member posts as much as you do.

Chillax just a little, Evan. I think we'll all have a better time if you do.

Lewis, it's impossible for me to ignore a human being who is so deluded and ignorant as you. Now please, before you decide to post, ask yourself the following questions:

1. Is my message adding anything to the discussion at hand?
2. Is my opinion of value and do I have details to back it up?
3. Is my discussion topic noteworthy and interesting?

This thread has proven that you aren't really interested in good discussion. You'll post retarded ideas and ask others what they think without putting any meat in your posts. Example:

A Russian Godzilla sound track would be nice.

(Ironically, Godzilla X Mechagodzilla's soundtrack was composed in Russia)

Well it's hard to tell someone's tone over the interwebz, but many of your posts ("Ok?") appear to me as if you're begrudgingly conceding just to make everyone else shut up.

And my philosophy these days is "Just because you can post doesn't mean you should."

Eventhorizon,I think the thing that angers me the most about you,is that you turn every thread topic into something about you. For example, this started off as a discussion about the type of music we would like in a Godzilla movie, but then, like all threads lately do,it just turned into "Is G2KMaster irritating?"
Spoiler alert:YES,HE IS.
I mean,I said I disagreed that the next movie should be dark, and you explained how you can't go to G-Fest or buy an issue of G-Fan because your mom doesn't let you outdoors. Besides giving me a chilling look into your personal life, what purpose did that serve? I don't attend cons or read zines either, what's that have to do with composers?

YES!!!

I always thought Godzilla had a Snoopy-ish charm to him (especially in the 70s). :)

And furthermore, the Peanuts series (specials, movies, and TV shows) are VERY comparable to the Godzilla movie series, especially in music. Vince Guaraldi is much hailed by the Peanuts crowd, as Akira Ifukube is with us.

If that happens, there's no doubt Toho should get David Benoit to do the score! He's done almost all the Peanuts specials since the end of the 80s, and has usually rearranged Guaraldi's classic themes (especially the ever-famous "Linus And Lucy" theme).

And of course we've now gone full circle back to the Toho universe as Emi and Yumi Ito,
the actresses playing the Shobijin fairies in the Mothra films also had a singing career performing as "The Peanuts"!!

They were much hotter with their fairy wigs on. MUCH. The one on the right in the top picture looks like Moe from the 3 stooges.

I would love to hear a Michael Giacchino composed score for Godzilla.

Jerry Goldsmith would have been a top choice as well, there is a cue from Supergirl titled "The Monster Tractor" that has a kaiju feel to it.

Danny Elfman would be a good and interesting choice.

John Williams's score to War Of The Worlds probably gave us a glimpse of what a Godzilla score from him might have sounded like.

And I do enjoy David Arnold's score to GINO.
