A multi-quote option?

Postby Destroysall » Mon Jul 07, 2014 6:03 pm

As much as I like cutting and pasting, it would be great if a multi-quote option was present. Hopefully someone could pass this request to one of the Admins?

You actually can multi-quote.

Kinda.

You can select additional posts to quote in the topic review underneath where you type up your posts.

It'd certainly be nice, but I get the feeling it's a software limitation :(. If the mods would like to add one though, I certainly wouldn't complain ;)!

I do it with cutting and pasting too, but to be honest, it'd be a lot easier to do it the regular way ;).

This isn't a cut-and-paste technique. When you're posting a reply to a topic, if you scroll down you'll see a topic review box that allows you to peruse the most recent posts in reverse-chronological order. To the right of every post in that topic review, you have the option of clicking a quote button which will instantly quote that post within your reply, placing the quote into your post wherever you have your text cursor positioned.

The only difference between this form of multi-quoting and "the regular way" is that you do this on the same page that you type your post, rather than selecting all of the posts you want to quote on the thread page itself, but the technique is the same.
