I'm deeply saddened by this news, and my thoughts go out to all of Aaron's family and friends in this time of sorrow.
While I never talked to Aaron but a handful of times over the years, it is safe to say that without him there would be no Kaijuphile. His original Godzilla News website was a huge inspiration to myself and Kaijuphile co-founder C. L. Werner.
I hope that his spirit can live on in not only Monster Zero, but every other site he inspired over the past nine years.

Over the years of my on-line Godzilla fandom experience, Aaron was a source of inspiration and a friend. We had worked on several Godzilla related projects, namely the Monster Zero Archives which is now the Monster Zero Gallery.
Aaron spent many years and much energy promoting Godzilla on the net and bringing current news of Godzilla and related movies, toys, and projects to the many internet fans of Godzilla thru the MONSTER ZERO NEWS site.
Thank you Aaron for your years of dedication. You will be deeply missed.

This is just terrible, terrible news, and a complete shock.
I first learned of Aaron through his posts at Alt.Movies.Monster back in late 1997. At that time, as I recall, his site was news and photos -no forum - web forums such as this had yet to supplant news groups as the primary source of online discussion/debate. But, as I said, Aaron frequented AMM and I always looked forward to reading his learned and intelligent posts about the genre. I never met Aaron, but I did exchange e-mails with him a couple times, and of course some discussions on Alt Movies Monster as well. I was one of the people who stayed up late to watch the webcast of Godzilla 2000 as it was being filmed - I took a couple screencaptures of the webcast, and shared them with Aaron.
I know I'm rambling here - I am truly stunned. He always struck me as a decent guy - He was waaaay too young to pass on - I'm dreadfully sorry that he got cheated out of so many years of his life.

Rip Aaron. Thank you for creating a safe and friendly place for all kinds of kaiju fans. I am deeply saddened by his passing. I have been here since the beginning almost 9 years ago. Monster Zero is a daily stop for me. The e-mails I did receive from Aaron, I still keep. Most of them are just me thanking him for creating this wonderful place for all Godzilla Fans. You will be greatly missed Aaron thank you for making all of us G-Fans life's a little brighter.
