I've finally started painting again on a regular basis after a multi-year funk that some of you may or may not have heard me whine about. Doing some kaiju studies to warm up for the GFest prints I've gotta knock out this month.







The originals of these are for sale. The Godzilla has already sold though. Look for more in the near future!

A Burning Godzilla study I did as a commission on top of the other kaiju studies I've been producing. Literally the first time I have drawn this design since ninth grade. Really great design. Such an awful movie. Lawl.

This is the first Biollante I've ever actually painted, I think. Starting to dabble in more wet-on-wet painting techniques, inspired by the absurdly talented Jessica Durrant. Obviously I've got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on her work but I've gotta start somewhere. XD

This is a piece that was based on a sketch for a larger piece that I originally doodled well over five or six years ago. I then struggled off and on with sketching a new version for a GFest print over the past three or so years before sketching out this version on watercolor paper this time last year, abandoning it, and then returning to it and finally completing it over the past week. Now it's done and it'll be going on sale at GFest next weekend!

For those that don't recognize it already, this is Alien Baltan from the Ultra franchise. Definitely one of the coolest creature designs to ever come out of Japan.

Day 6 is Baltan and I'm super behind now because I've just been in North Carolina for a funeral but I'm going to get through my entire list this October, I swear to God.

So funeral and other things put me SUPER behind on Inktober and now I've had to turn my attention to commissions to keep my income up. I still want to go through my entire list of 30 Ultra kaiju but that's obviously not a project that's gonna get done for Inktober. OH WELLZ.

Here are the next three though, Gomora, Seabozu, and Geronimon!
