Four Godzilla Suit Actors at Milwaukee Popcon 2017

Just stumbled across this on pure luck. PopCon Milwaukee is going on this weekend (Nov 5 & 6). Looks like a fun show, but nothing too unusual.

But, NEXT YEAR, they're scheduled to have FOUR Godzilla suit actors all in attendance! Haruo Nakajima (Showa), Kenpachiro Satsuma (Heisei), Tsutomu Kitagawa (Millennium), and Mizuho Yoshida (GMK) are all on the list! Is that the most Godzilla actors that have ever attended the same con in North America? I dunno, but it wouldn't surprise me. Now I've got to figure out how to be here for that..!

Oh this is gonna be GREAT! I am so going and getting them to sign their respective figures. May now have to get dupes so i can actually play with the unsigned versions. Or just get more in general Sorry. Old post i know. And i've seen it before. Dunno why i finally posting on it.

Heads-up to Godzilla fans in the American Midwest: this is coming up in just a few weeks!


Obviously Haruo Nakajima won't be there as originally planned. R.I.P.

EDIT - On second thought, will they still be there? If you look at the website ( https://popconmilwaukee.com/guests/ ), it seems like no one is listed. Wonder if everyone backed out due to Nakajima... I sent an e-mail to confirm what the current status is on the other suit actors.

UPDATE: Got an e-mail response back. None of the Godzilla suit actors will be there anymore. So I guess I'm not going after all.

Here's the response I got in e-mail:

"Thanks for your interest. Once Nakajima passed, we abandoned the reunion."

That's too bad.

That seems kinda lame. I mean, Nakajima was awesome; a real crowd pleaser and he’s certainly missed. But that’s no reason to quit on THREE OTHER Godzilla actors! It still would’ve been an awesome event.
