well i just got my reservation. They only had "single bed" rooms left on the website, and when i went to checkout it had listed as "3 Left" - not sure if thats just for the group rate, or if the hotel is almost completely sold out already

I just put in my reservation earlier today! It'll be my first time staying at the hotel as I usually stay at a friends place. I got tired of zipping back and forth with Uber this past year.

So people generally hang out in the hotel after each day? Grabbing drinks and what not?

Yeh. There are events on Friday and Saturday until 9ish. After that a lot of people go to the Pickwick to see a kaiju film on the big screen. That typically runs until after midnight. Plenty of people hang at the hotel instead. The bar and patio usually have quite a few kaiju fans talking over drinks.
