When: Sunday, January 13 at 2pm PST (which means 5pm Eastern/4pm Central & so on)
Why: Because last year's was a ton of fun for both the Kaijucast crew AND the listeners!
If you didn't know, every episode of the Kaijucast is recorded, edited and then uploaded to the website. Because of the randomness of everyone's schedules, we can't ever have a weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly show that's broadcast over the internet. But last year we had an online listener party/live broadcast and it was a total blast. We had a chatroom, talked to a ton of different guests, gave away a huge amount of prizes and even premiered a track from the Kodoja album long before it was available!
We've decided to bring back the live show, both for our 4th anniversary as the second Kaijucast Emergency Broadcast AND as a yearly tradition!
We're still putting the prize packs together, but we'll be giving away a lot of great items, including the San Diego Comic Con Exclusive Meltdown SH MonsterArts figure. Last year we had too many individual prizes and it took me a really long time to get them all mailed out. This year, we are packing them together into four big prize packs! Keep an eye on the this weekend for sneak peeks at those packs.
The guests' schedules are still being finalized, so I dont want to jump the gun, but I can tell you that we plan on speaking to Edward Holland and Mike Keller from at the top of the show about their relaunch and upcoming appearances.
How do you join in? You'll need an internet connection and some kind of music player that can connect to a web address - anything from Windows Media Player to iTunes to your smartphone should do the trick. While the live show will actually start at 2pm, we'll be playing some pre-show music starting and firing up the chatroom at 1pm. Open the link for the broadcast, hop in the chat and that's pretty much it.
