As, people already know Colossal Kaiju Combat have a new kick-starter up that needs your help. What you do not know is that if said kick starter succeeds Xeraimus The God Of All Monsters will be theme of the third commercial release! I donated to the PC version and I have no intention of getting the Ouya so I'll be skipping this Kickstarter. However if it where for PS4/Xbox One versions then I might consider it.

Even though i said i wouldn't pledge on this one earlier on out of principle i did anyway. It doesn't look likely to hit its goal so its probably a moot point. good luck

In terms of gameplay, the PS2 version of Unleashed is almost similar to Save the Earth. The only differences to the gameplay is a few balances and damage changes such as using a full charged blast can now send your opponent flying. The mini games are no longer present so you don't have to be forced to play them. There is also a battle with the Goutengo, The Crystal Tower, and a giant powerup King Ghidorah as mid bosses. The story mode isn't set like a standard fighting game where fights are just one on one, there are multiple stages where there will be more than two to four opponent you will have to fight.

This game has been in development for 4 years or more right? If anything, the graphics and game play are looking worse and worse. Between what happened with the Kaiju Gaiden Kickstarter I'm pretty sure I'm not doing crowd-sourced fundraising again (to be fair, I haven't back this but I DID back Kaiju Gaiden).

Even if this does eventually get released it will never be the cross IP melee that they pitched. I have pretty much given up on this. Kaiju Gaiden ::shudder:: I really hope pulls it together.
I have had fine luck crowd funding comics, despite most missing their deadlines, so I will probably stick with "smaller" projects going forward.

I think they were being a little too ambitious releasing an onslaught of monster designs one after another, among other things. If they had decided on a core set of characters, a half dozen or so each based on a common kaiju 'type', and moved on from there they might have made a bit more tangible progress.

Yeah, the development time for this game seems to have gotten out of hand. There's supposed to be a playable build at G-Fest, but even if a finished game comes out this year, the wait has drained my enthusiasm. I even would've accepted a Capcom/Street Fighter approach - releasing a bare-bones game and then updating it as the developer pleases (with DLC and/or multiple versions) - but I'm finding it hard to defend CKC as it stands now.

I've used to be so supportive about this project but Now I just feels like I've been pretty much suckered into a door to door sells man pitch. In my eyes now, this project was nothing more than a simple investment of my time and money and for the most part, failed to delivered what I wanted. I even spent a good amount of time on the actual forum but as time passed, I started to lose interest in the project and even started to distancing myself from the project (and being in the forum community for longer than I should've been didn't help there).

While they did release an early access version of the game (which was fun for a short time) but as time pass and the more things behind the scene became complicated, I felt like I was mainly sponsoring a trading card game disguises as a Video game most of the time. It's pretty much a shame, since I felt like the focus on the card games seems like there was more effort put into it than the actual product. It had so much promises and I wanted to believe in the project..........but the main point that I should of focused on was the fact that it was all promises and nothing really was solid but rather vague. It really didn't really help when the other crowd funding projects like Kaiju Gaiden went down under. Don't get me wrong, I'm still hoping something good comes through at the end for both project but sadly for CKC, my interest is dead and I no longer really care for it. Everything I hear now is nothing more than a sell pitch, or promises with no value for me to care now.

TLDR: Lost faith in project, Don't care any more and has moved on.

As someone that backed the Kickstarter, I am pretty disappointed that this is how I find out about this.... I've gotten to the point where I am no longer interested in the final product, so at this point it's just the principle of the matter. I just really hope they don't try to milk the community for more money in a 4th Kickstarter or some such...

Considering how slow updates were coming, I can't say I was surprised. It was a pretty small team, too. I only paid for the $5 early Steam access, so I'm not too disappointed, but it must suck for those who paid full price. I suppose the licensed character concept was too good to be true.
