Well, 12:01am came and Amazon had their launch editions of the PS4 available to order. I was so tempted to click that order button, but instead passed up on it. So now I will wait until February or March or so to pick one up. By then though, a lot of the bugs that gets associated with a new system release should be taken care of.

March 21st an Infamous Second Son PS4 bundle is coming out. Unless Watch_Dogs or Uncharted happen to be coming out sooner, I think that will be the version of the PS4 I buy.

I was tempted to order a PS4 from Newegg but all they had was bundles and the cheapest was $749 and that came with stuff I didn't need nor wanted so I'll wait. However on December 5th I get 25% off so I'm tempted to buy a PS4 then but I think I'll wait for that inFamous bundle to come out and get that like Kain. I don't see Uncharted coming out sooner since it was JUST annouced.

That actually sounds like a good deal simply because my wife wants to play Second Son.

Rockstar Games has shared additional details on what’s coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows this fall. There will be new wildlife, such as cats and hammerhead sharks, better foliage, more traffic, and more details on vehicles, including interiors and cockpit view. There will be new jobs, weapons, vehicles, properties, and player customizations.

Well, I said if they were to announce GTAV for the PS4 I would go out and buy one right away, and that is exactly what I did.

I'm waiting till December to get mine. There will be an extra bonus on top of what we already get as a thank you for working Thanksgiving and/or Black Friday. Last year it was 25% this year it could be higher. So that's when I'll get my PS4. I'll get it along with a copy of inFamous and maybe Killzone.

What's going to get me to get a PS4 is what got me to get a PS3. Metal Gear. Although I still may wait for a price drop. But I know aroud/after The Phantom Pain drops, I'll probably be getting a PS4.

I think I've lost my interested in Metal Gear. I just cannot get interested enough in GZ to play it and I was not all that impressed with the trailer last night. Maybe thing will change the next time I do a MG marathon run though. Or maybe I just need GZ to be on sale for like $10.

It's a series that'll always get me. Even if the plot has become beyond convoluted and to explain it in full you'd need some sort of conspiracy wall. I just like the mix of stealth and all out action.

I'm actually doing a full replay of all of the main official entries in the series in preparation for The Phantom Pain. Part of this is because I never got around to finishing Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. I never played Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, because I never picked up any of the Playstation Portable systems, and also because that entry is only partially official. I plan to brush myself up on that one via complete walkthrough videos on YouTube. Aside from the tactical stealth gameplay as well as the full action portions, I'm also drawn to some of the hilariously over-the-top fantastical stuff that's in direct conflict with the often high attention to realistic detail of military procedures, tactics, weaponry, etc. While the drama, or rather melodrama, can often be engaging, I've never taken the Metal Gear games 100% seriously, because it's obvious that creator Hideo Kojima doesn't either. Despite wanting to make the story more intense and grittier, he's still not against having the games blatantly reminding everyone that they're just video games.

Never played Portable Ops, but I loved Peace Walker. I've been thinking about nabbing the Legacy Collection, which I should have before the prices started increasing.

The silliness is one of great parts about it too. It does deal with serious matters and themes but it knows it's a game and has fun with that too. It's not like other series like The Last of Us, which was great but was also very emotionally draining. After finishing that I felt like I needed a cigarette and a good long cry. The worse Metal Gear does, MGS2, is make you go "WTF?"

I have mixed feelings on Peace Walker. It had a good story (well except for the creepy segments with Paz), but the gameplay was crap because the boss battles were a b*tch since they were made with multiplayer in mind. It took me forever to beat them on my first run. Well, I say first run, but I really only played the game through once. It's just that I had to fight those ****ers over to get Metal Gear parts, which really padded out the end of the game unnecessarily.

I refuse to even acknowledge Revengeance.

Revengance, to me, is non-canon spin-off. Sort of like the Ghost Bable on the GBC, or Snake's Revenge on the NES.

BTW, I spent the day playing Tomb Raider on the PS4. The game is pretty damn awesome outside of Lara having her character shields set to max. I swear, there were like five instances so far where she should have died or had broken bones to the point where she couldn't even move. Killing things with the bow and arrow is awesome, but the stealth mechanic is not the greatest.

I would have loved a humorous tag to the end of the game where she's in a hospital and doctor tells her all the diseases she got from all of her impalements, crawling around in caves with open wounds, and what not (spoilers).

No, I wasn't interested in it at the time because of my disappointment with Hitman Absolution and the fact that that horrible game dropped $25 in less than two weeks. As such, I wanted to make sure TR did not do the same. The they announced it was going to be released on the PS4 with all of the DLC so I figured I would wait.

Well I just 100%ed Tomb Raider. It was awesome as a whole despite there being points of frustration and Lara's ever invincibility when it comes not not dying. I do wish the enemies would respawn in areas though as there are trophies I still need that I did not learn about until I was right at the end of the game. Anyway, aside from the character shield thing and the lack of being able to crouch at will, this is by far the best Tomb Raider ever and its story was quite good. If I were to compare the game to make it simple, I would say this game is like Far Cry 3 meets Uncharted. Overall, I give it a solid 8/10. Oh, and I also love how you can change Lara's outfit and it actually stays changed even in the cut scenes.

WTF?! Now Sony is cranking up the stupid????

First, Now should be free to anyone with a Plus account.

Secondly, the games should be free if you already own their physical copies!!!!

Third, $5 for FOUR HOURS!!!!

Dats quazy.

I'm not sure I agree that it should be completely free for PS+ members, a discount at least. But for streaming rentals of "old gen" games those prices are nuts. Rent 6 games at FFXIII-2's price for 3-months and you're just $20 and tax shy of getting a brand new PS3. Why not do a redbox thing and do like $1 a day, $5 for a week. I could even see paying $30 to "buy" the game for unlimited streaming or what ever. That would make some sense, even if it is still kind of expensive. But if you compare the prices to the cheapest "used" it's always going to look expensive.

Hope Sony sorts this out, it could be something awesome but right now it's totally borked.

These are just test prices I'm sure they won't be indictive of what the final service will be.

On that note I'll probably be getting a PS4 in a couple of weeks. I can get one on Newegg without a bundle now and I wouldn't have to make any payments till next year on due to them having new finicing offers on my Newegg credit card. I'll probably just get inFamous right now and maybe Killzone.

See, I think if you own a physical or digital copy of the game, you should be given that game for free to play on the PS4. There is no reason why I should have to pay $30 to rent a game I already own. Hell, there is no reason why a PS2 game I own physically and rebought on PSN should not be transferable to my PS4.

Linking to a physical copy now would be a bit difficult but not necessarily impossible, but I whole heartily agree that if you have a digital download of a game on your PSN account from your PS3 then it should be available to stream. Didn't they make big deals out of cross-platform play? Like from PSP/VITA to PS3 and such? Isn't this just a more digital or ethereal version of that jazz?

I've read online that the they're taking suggestions and criticisms from the BETA to heart but it's also stated that the prices are ultimately decided on by the participating developers and publishers.

Man, this streaming thing could be awesome. Hell if they made the games free but the service is charged (like $20 a month or something) it'd be the netflix of the Playstaion catalog.
