Got Yo-Kai Watch. So far it's fairly fun. Need to dig a bit deeper into it, but I enjoy seeing Yokai in a video game format.

So I've been going through the Metal Gear series. I played MGS before V and finished MGS2 last week and started in on MGS3 the other night. And they make me dislike MGSV a bit more.

The controls in MGSV are hands down the best in the series. But is there a series whose controls got worse as the series went on? But the lack of story and how most of what there was in MGSV was told is just so... aggravating. I understand why it got so many 9/10 or 10/10 based on a one weekend review camp rushing through the story. But getting hours and hours into the side ops, development, and FOB stuff it's shocking at how little there is in term of story. I feel like there was more story in the tanker section of MGS2. I'd give the game a 6 at best. 9/10 for game play (I'd give it 10/10 but the grindiness and the update that cuts your resources including GMP in half if you disconnect from online really irks me) and 3/10 for story. It's the most fun Metal Gear game to play but the lest entertaining to play through.

But with the story being done, the story of MGS2 made a LOT more sense. Or maybe it's because I'm older and wiser and knew what to expect. But the first time I played MGS2 I confused as all hell. But I get it now, everyone was being played.

Hopefully I'll get through MGS3 before Fallout 4 launches. I almost want to pre-order it but there's no real reason to have it day one other than to not trip over story spoilers. But Fallout/Elder Scrolls haven't had a story that I cared if it got spoiled.

I've been in some video game funk where I haven't felt like playing any games but I finally got out of that thanks to Dragon Age Inquisition. The game is amazing and I'm kind of upset that I didn't start it sooner. I'm trying to do the main story but I keep getting side tracked doing side quests.

Not sure what I'll start after DA:I probably Fallout 4 or Dishonored Definitive Edition.

So I started actually doing FOB infiltrations. The rewards are WAY more than doing normal missions. So they are kind of worth it. But I just don;t hop into any one's FOB. I'm not sure how this works for the consoles but the game allows me to check the person's Steam Profile. And Steam shows the hours of the games played in the past two weeks. If MGSV is low on that list, I strike. I've only had one alert go off, and as of last night I have yet to be retaliated against. And I would play more, and may with the Dec update adding certain features like custom positioning of cameras on the FOBs and such.

But I also picked up Fallout 4 and it has been incredibly fun. The Feral Ghouls are creepier than they were in FO3 but I have yet to run into a living non-feral Ghoul, so I'm wondering if they're in the game at all. So far all I've done is the first two story missions, which lead me to Diamond city, and have been doing nothing more than Minutemen missions and tooling around with the settlements. And honestly, I already feel that my $48 was well spent (thank you Green Man Gaming vouchers).

Only encountered two glitches (one I think is due to another program I have running). The first was that sometimes when it rains everything would go all white and blurry. But just deselect wetness in the graphics department and it was fine. The other issues seem to be that every time Display Fusion shuffles dual wallpapers FO4 alt-tabs out to the desktop. A bit of an annoyance, but I can deal with it.

Customizing weapons and armor is fantastic and I'm liking the perk system. And the fact that all the junk can be used in modding items and settlements is great. Although some times you NEED to scrap stuff but it seems like the easiest way is to drop it on the ground and scrap it. When it seems like you should be able to scrap it from the workbench inventory. And I wish you could also create armor, weapons, and ammo but I guess that's what mods are for.

There were some solid Black Friday deals, so I picked up Fallout 4, Walking Dead 1 and 2 (WD2 was actually free on PSN), NBA2k16, and FInal Fantasy X-HD. Technically some of these are Christmas gifts, so I won't play them all til December...but I did start Fall Out.

The opening is surreal - the nuke explosion kinda makes you think about how you would deal with such a scenario playing out in real life. Granted, the rest of it is far-fetched fantasy, but still. The graphics are incredible. More updates to follow as I progress through the game.

Almost done with Dragon Age Inquisition I'm on the final boss but need to go level up because kicking my ass probably going to finish that off tonight or tomorrow if I can. Then it's Gears of War Ultimate then Fallout 4.

So I spent about 5 or 6 hours playing Witcher 3 today and I've got mixed feelings on it, most of it because I just have no freaking idea what the hell I am doing. I died A LOT, especially at some swamp monsters and then some camp thieves. I don't know why, but my armor is like freaking tissue paper and my sword seems to be a butter knife. I'm also lost because I took up like 6 side quests that were on the board, but I can not figure out how I get the map to show me the locations I'm supposed to go to to do them. For example, one of them is about a dude's brother being in the army. As such, I went to the fort with General Prick, the guy who paid me to kill the griffin, but no one seems to even want to hold a conversation at all, so I have no idea if I'm even in the right place looking for that guy's brother.

Taking a break from Fallout 4 and playing some ARK Survival Evolved which just went into early access on Xbox One. The game is on track to be amazing.

We tried doing a public server tonight but it was meh so we just decided to stick with a private non dedicated one.

MAN, Witcher 3 is really pissing me off right now. I thought I was finally getting a hang of the game, but nope, guess not. I am stuck fighting 4 freaking bandits that keep killing me within a minute and then I have to wait for a freaking 2 minute long load time to get back just to die again a minute later. My weapons and armor are pretty much useless. When do I get weapons that won't break mid-battle? Also, where can I go to actually level up because right now the EXP I get from each kill is ****!!??

Rant aside, I am enjoying the game for the most part. I had a lot of fun doing side quests until the game stopped letting me access them even though I grabbed more off of a board but they won't appear. Then I got some that say I should be at Level 10 to do, but I'm only at 4, and getting to 10 is taking forever. I pretty much cleared out all of the ?s in White Orchard and am now in a huge ass map area. Exploring is fun, but the horse controls suck ass.

Nevertheless, despite my issues, I do wish I had played this during the summer over Arkham Knight AND MGSV because this game is way better than those two. I'm just not sure if it is a game that I have the patience for. Oh, the story is confusing the hell out of me due to not having played the first two. I got asked all of these questions before I got to see the emperor that I had no idea what they were talking about. They kept asking me about these individuals I have no idea who they are, so I have no way of knowing if I answered the questions properly for the best ending.

I'm playing Uncharted Remastered and I forgot how amazing the game is. After I finish that which will probably be this weekend I'm going to start playing Godzilla again until RE0 HD comes out in three weeks.

So I have been having a blast with Witcher 3 for the last three days and then I go to continue the mission I've been working on over the last three days only to learn that the game went ahead and did the mission without me, so I technically failed it. WTF?! It has completely ruined my enjoyment of the game because they never told me anything about there being missions that I could lose if I don't do them immediately.

So I bought and beat Wolfenstien the New Order. That was a fantastic game. Looked into the divergent time lines and there's not too much difference and thankfully I don't have to start a new game, just replay that first chapter and make a different choice.

But other than that I've gotten back into playing Starbound (Space Terraria basically). It's still in Beta I guess, but it has vastly improved since I last played it. They made it so you couldn't just deconstruct challenge levels or fill spaces with dirt to bypass jump challenges in them. But it's nice easy game to wind down the day with.

The Witcher 3, which I have been playing non-stop for 2 weeks now. THis game owns my soul and I don't even think I'm halfway through the story.

I decided to take a break from the Hearts of Stone stuff and just finished the main story off and I am so glad I did. It was absolutely wonderful (although, I think I got the sad ending as ) and this is easily one of the best games I have ever played. It took a little while to get used to how it worked, but as a whole, I am so glad I journeyed into this adventure despite never having played the previous games. I loved it. The Hunt were badass but I do wish we actually got some character development for them. Oh, I actually expected the game to end with Like I said above, I'm only halfway through the Hearts of Stone storyline, so I've still got plenty of game to play, and I am really looking forward to it. CD Projeckt Red is now going to be one of those companies I keep an eye out for with their future products. Even without completing everything, I give this game a 9/10. It's only negatives stem from the fun ruining glitches and lackluster boss battles (especially the final boss).

Played through the game Until Dawn yesterday. Overall, it was a pretty cool game, but it did take a bit to get moving. The first two chapters were very slow moving but afterwards it started to get quite good. In fact, what started out as me wanting to kill off everyone ended up with my getting mad when someone died due to how much work I put into their story. In the end, only two people survived, which sucks, but hey, at least there is Youtube to see how the other endings would have ended. The biggest annoyance to the game though were its sluggish feeling controls and QTEs. There was no way to run, and there was barely a difference between walking and "speed" walking. However, the QTEs got annoying and is what ultimately caused the demise of my characters due to their being super fast over anything else. Very annoying. Nevertheless, it was enjoyable to play a true horror game again, I'm just not sure it is a game I can really see myself replaying. In the end, I give it a nice 7/10 stars. Oh, and it was nice to be able to play through an entire game in one sitting after the last two months were spent on The Witcher 3.

I got stuck on RE0 HD so I decided to move on to Uncharted 2 Remastered and my god I forgot how amazing this game is. The remaster is even better the game is filled with rich and vibrant colors and the remastered job is well done. I'm at the half way point now so I should be done with it probably tomorrow night or at least by Friday. I'm on a nice little mini vacation so I plan on getting that beat and Far Cry 4.

I've beaten Uncharted 2 Remastered and have moved on to Far Cry 4 as well as Unravel which I blindly bought and was very impressed with the game. It's very relaxing and the puzzles can be a bit challenging at times. After Far Cry 4 I'm not sure what I'll start, I have FC: Primal coming in a few weeks and then Twlight Princess HD the week after. Probably start TP HD so my Wii U can get some play time the thing has been collecting dust for most of the time I've had it.

Picked up Wind Waker HD. Can't wait to get the faster sail cloth, as sailing is still rather tedious. But good lord does it look beautiful. When the WiiU gamepad's battery drains, I've been replaying Link's Awakening on my 3DS. I completely forgot how HUGE that game was for a hand held. And it's pretty tough too. Thank god for the color dungeon and it's blue half-damage tunic.
