Than Man Who Continues to Draw 'Ray': Legend of Iizuka Sadao

Thanks to Klen7 for pointing this out to me. It's another Yosensha picture book in their recent series where they have been highlighting a different person from the Godzilla series (Nakajima / Kawakita / Murase Keizo)

It was apparently released on 1/8. Anyone know any more info on it? I'm a sucker for anything that has Showa King Ghidorah on the front cover 8)

I'll head up to one of the big Kinokuniya book stores in Shinjuku this weekend and share my thoughts on it...

Here is a nice write up about Iizuka Sadao from Brett Homenick's site back from April last year:

August did a write up

sounds like a winner
If you've ever been fascinated by the myriad of beam weapons and deadly rays in the Japanese fantasy film — this publication comes highly recommended, despite the language barrier for non-Japanese readers, with is wealth of incredible llustrations and production stills. This one now sits proudly among the best books in my own reference library.

Well, I stopped by the Kinokuniya bookstore, and if you guys thought the the GvsBiollante Hobby Japan book was "wordy", then you might want to pass on this one. In contrast to the rest of the books in these "Treasure" book series by Yosensha, this one of mostly text with photos inserted here and there. Unless you're fluent in Japanese, I would recommend passing on it...
