Today I picked up both cover variants at my local comic book shops.
First impressions are that it has solid art. Some really cool scenes such as Godzilla being reduced to bones. You really feel bad for Godzilla in this issue. Its a shame the series is over as I loved the different takes on Godzilla fighting in truly unique with new Lovecraftian villains. Just wish it was longer.
This was my favorite bit of artwork btw

This issue is what i pictured when they announced the series. I'd put it neck and neck with the Stokoe issue.

Thought it was great. It made just enough literal sense for an ending, but was still opaque enough to feel right for such a weird, metaphysical idea for a Godzilla comic.
After Half-Century War, this is the Godzilla comic to recommend when anyone asks "Hey, are any of those Godzilla comics good?"

I dunno...I guess my prism is just a bit too narrow when it comes to Godzilla. I found the ending to be quite anti-climactic, and kind of pointless. I'm kind of sad that this is how Godzilla ends for IDW for now. Sure I know there is something in the works for next year, but I kind of wish this series had been released earlier in the year, or RoE had kept going at least until December.

Maybe, again, this is just an issue of me not "getting it", seeing as I have never heard any of this persons reviews, but is he supposed to sound like an emotionless British robot? Am I supposed to be an emotionless British robot to have understood the comic? I guess I'm not very good at interpretation because what this person "got" from the images in the comic is way different than what I got. Though again, the artwork was well done, if I had been listening to this as an audio book (granted with someone who can tell the story way better), it would have sounded way better than what we actually saw in pictures. Again...this is probably just me.
