The artwork was gorgeous but the battles were over way too quickly.

I thought a bit of mystery was lost with the addition of narration. Now I know some people may have been off put by issue #1 being only pictures with basically no text, but adding text simply for the sake of allowing the reader more time to go over the publication is a bit silly. Sure the narration itself was not bad, I guess what I'm looking for is consistency. Either have it (the text), or don't. When this comes out as a TPB, it almost feels as if narration will need to be placed into the first issue, so as to not feel disorienting with the rest.

So in #1 -Godzilla fought a Hellbeast with "Orgaish" like traits. In #2 we get - Rodan, Anguirus, Varan, & King Ghidora. Issue #3 is hinting at Mothra, but I must admit I am intrigued, because for the first time in a long time, with little to no advanced press on this series, I have no idea where its going, or what the end result will be.

Issue 2 was SO different from Issue 1 that i really have no idea what to expect for issue 3 either. Bob Eggleton's commentary at the end of the issue seemed to imply his guidance was simply get G from one level hell into the next.

I was disappointed by Stokoe's issue but this latest one is AMAZING!!! Best art I've seen in a comic in a long time.

I'm guessing at the end of the series Godzilla gets back to earth,and it turns out he was blasted with a bomb or lazer designed to put him in another dimension,which unknown to the inventor turned out to be hell.

I loved the art, and i loved the behind the scenes bits. I would have liked to see a couple more panels dedicated to the conflicts, but the detail in the environments was fantastic. It did seem a little disparate from the previous issue. I kind of dug the overall weirdness of the first issue, whereas this issue felt a bit more grounded and familiar, but i did like that he mixed it up with Fire/Water/Ice.

This should continue to be an interesting series, and it will be interesting when the trade comes out to see how the entire miniseries reads together.
