Surprised no one has mentioned this yet(that I'm aware of). Just got a copy myself and I've got to say, this book is a must have for any Nakajima/Godzilla fan! 367 pages of which all but 17 are nothing but pictures, with many being previously unseen behind the scenes shots. If you're looking for a great photobook, this is the one to get. Just thought I'd pass the info along... :D

A post in that thread (in Japanese) seems to mention Amazon.jp but I can't find this book there. Can anyone find a link this can be ordered from?

Klen beat me to posting the link. But that's 'cause I was busy placing my order for it before I came back to reply! :P

And I checked ebay, there's a couple on there for over $100 a piece after shipping... Yeesh!

Ugh, I'm so excited! I also put the new '70's Champion Matsuri book and the Japanese blurays for Ghidrah the Three Headed Monster and Mothra vs Godzilla in my order! It's going to be like Godzilla Christmas in January! Weeee!

So I've ordered from amazon UK before but this was my first time ordering from amazon Japan. It seemed pretty straight forward and I got my order confirmation email. But then I also got a long email from customer service shortly thereafter. Problem is, it's all in kana and kanji and I don't read Japanese... I have no idea what it says but I think it mentions my payment method? I paid with a prepaid Amex gift card. I hesitate to post the message publicly for fear of it containing personal info (and I can't even black the personal info out because I can't read it...).

Any advice?

UPDATE
Google translator helped me figure it out. Maybe. Seems they say I entered my card expiration incorrectly. I checked it out but it was right. I re-entered it anyways and tried again. Hopefully it works this time.

UPDATE 2
Erg. Same message again. I'm wondering if this gift card doesn't work internationally? It's weird because it's supposed to work anywhere American Express works and Amex is one of the choices for credit cards available on amazon Japan... I dunno. I guess I may have to just use a different card. :-/

Sorry to hear about your problems. I've never dealt directly with Amazon Japan so I can't offer any advice there. I do hope you can resolve things, though, as this book is FREAK'IN AWESOME!!! I took a leisurely look through last night and this has already become one of my most treasured books. :)

Looks like it was an issue with the gift card being used outside the US. I switched payment to my international credit card and it went through right away. So now I'll just use the gift card for regular expenses. Not quite as fun as just spending free money on fun stuff, but it all comes out the same in the end.

Got mine yesterday too, it's great. Cost $10 to ship it but it got here from Japan in 2 days so I can't really complain!

Mines supposed to be here today (probably would've been here yesterday if it weren't for the payment snafu). But hey, that's still like three days from Japan for two books and two blu rays. And it was only $12 shipping... I'm rather impressed honestly.

Believe me, I've been well aware of this book since its release back in late October, but it's been one of the more elusive ones to find (the few times I have come across it, I had other items to buy on my agenda). Well, this past weekend, I found a store with several of them, so it has now joined my illustrious collection 8) Will post my thoughts and perhaps stills later this week....

Took a few quick shots of the insides of this book, if anyone was curious. It's amazing.
