I found this book and its sequel, Project Maigo, to be very good reading. Downloaded them to my kindle.
I felt that the author delivered a story that fans of the genre will truly enjoy. It has some very good reviews from a lot of fans who grew with Godzilla and Gamera, etc. Give it a try.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight that matters. It's the size of the fight in the dog!!

Finished Project Maigo the other week. I liked it. It went a little bit more bonkers than Nemsis did, but I'm fine with it. The ending seemed rather closed even though I'd love to read more stories follwoing the adventures of Fusion Center P.
I'm thinking about reading Island 731, as it seems fairly monster-ish as well but more Dr Moreau than city destroyers.
