You are right. I don't own any of the books dedicated to a singular series, but I'm sure books dedicated to Tiga, Cosmos, Max, Mebius etc... probably have better pictures (and more space) dedicated to them than this all-encompasing book. Still, I don't think I'm going to regret purchasing it.
There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

Nope, if you're only going to own one I'd say go with this one.

Well mine came in the mail yesterday and it is simply Amazing! There are things in there I didn't even know existed! Also Mighty Jack, Fugitive Alien, Time of the Apes etc... This has it ALL!!

The only thing I could not find based on a cursory review is any referrence to the Ultra Q Movie that came out in 1990. I may have just missed it. Also i thought it was interesting the format of the book was in a westernized R-L (tunring pages) I think this is the only Japanese book I have that is set up this way.

I couln't believe that it was in the western format either but it's kind of neat.

Hmm, I'm really only a casual Ultra fan, having only seen the original series, some of Tiga, and some of Seven, but this book is still pretty tempting...

So overall this seems to be a pretty good purchase despite the price?

Another version of this book is coming out that instead of the Tsuburaya stuff, will cover all the Toho monsters. As a big Toho fan I'm pretty interested in picking up this version (I like myself some Ultraman here and there but not enough for an encyclopedia). I assume the format and whatnot will be similar to this version.
