I keep re-reading it to try and love it more. It does feel like an old Showa film in some respects (guy washes up on an island of monsters after all), but I don't care for this character especially since his first instinct is to exploit the fairies (THIS IS OUR HERO? o_O). It's a neat story, but it just doesn't entertain me like Kingdom of Monsters did.
