Saw A paperback listed for April 2014 release on Amazon. Is this true? If so, very nice. I have it but its good news for those who missed it before and don't want to pay a small fortune now. Its a great book.

It's true. Not only in soft cover but ammended as well. I'm sure August will have more info on it soon, probably at his blog.

Sweet, thanks for the info! I have the first edition, which apparently was being sold for like $300 bucks on ebay awhile back.

I'm willing to entertain offers for my original edition hard cover copy. I literally read it through once so it's practically brand new. Pages are tightly bound, binding is off the printers tight, all pages intact, no writing..basically I'd classify it as near mint.

I always feel like an idiot when I forget to make a purchase like this and it goes OOP. Will definitely pick up the paperback version.

I am so not missing this release. Already pre-ordered with Godzilla: Awakening and Godzilla: Art of Destruction on Amazon Prime.

I went to Barnes & Noble intending to buy The Art of Destruction but snatched up this instead! I've read through the first three chapters so far and I'm loving it all, great job August!

Is there anything new or updated in this edition, or is it simply a soft-cover? I was looking through it at a bookstore the other day and it looked pretty much the same as the hard cover, but I didn't read any pages in detail.

Ordered this for a beach read and it just came in and oh my god it's a gorgeous book! I mean, I knew it would be about Tsuburaya and it would likely have photos, but dang, I had no idea it was also an art book!
