Latest issue of Wired has a very brief review with a picture of the cover (Reviews section, sidebar, p 109), and I think it's a "9 out of 10" symbol:
It's incredible to think that the Japanese monster boom -- Godzilla, Mothra, et al. -- all sprang from the mind of one filmmaker: Eiji Tsuburaya. In this illustrated bio, we're shown scenes like the master on a set, in hip waders, directing giant half-immersed crayfish and lizards. My favorite spread shows his most enduring brainchild, Ultraman, preparing to fire his Spacium Beam at an adversary. I am slain. — JM
