The last time I posted a collection photo on here was way back in 2006. The pictures I posted, everything was on the floor at my parents house. I had pulled everything out just to see it all and take photos of. This is most of everything now:

Lots of great figures. How do you handle dust?

Klen7, Bandai figures are the toughest because of the tags, but I just rinse everything off under the sink, lightly brush with a tooth brush if needed and wipe with a microfiber rag. Its a pain in the ass.

Yehhh... I keep hoping I'll find someone with a magic answer. I built a display case that slows down the dust considerably, but it can't house everything (like the upcoming X-Plus Ghidorah or some of the other extra large scale releases)

It's stuff like this that I hope for future tech to solve. Give me a few drops of nano-bot cleaners and *boom* good as new.

But until then we have to clean thing manually like freaking neanderthals.

Just got a new phone and am playing with the camera a bit...

My now 100% complete (as far as I'm concerned) Bandai Gamera collection. Why could they not release a Zedus... :(

Power-Up Rodan and Power-Up MechaGodzilla, waiting for Power-Up Godzilla and Mecha-King Ghidorah coming the end of this month.

Image
My entire Ultraman collection as it is today (a few Spark Dolls haven't arrived yet). First use of my phone's panorama.

Another picture. I wanted to post these guys all lined up. I got them yesterday during my huge lot buy.

Image

These are all old school, bandai bootlegs of various Ultra kaiju. From left to right: Bemstar, Earthtron (I believe...), Red King, Black King, Agira, Telesdon, and Resurrected Pandon. These were no additional cost and I knew they existed before (I even had the Telesdon one as a kid and used it as a new, "living statue" kaiju against my Trendmasters figures), but I never saw them all lined up or really documented.

I honestly don't know what in the blue hell I'm going to do with them, however. Pack them away or display them... maybe make a special "bootlegs" shelf since I also nabbed this in the lot and I've long had a bootleg Little Godzilla since 2008 or so.

And now, something I have been wanting to see completed for AGES. The entire Trendmasters Power-Up Godzilla line, all parts... all lined up! I don't know why, but I have always adored this line and wish it would have included more kaiju, such as M.O.G.U.E.R.A., Gigan, and Mothra especially.

This is just a temporary set up until I can afford to get something better that I can actually display my effects pieces with.

An Imperial Family... with bootlegs! I don't know much about the boots, but the black one is among my favorites. I don't know why, I even like it better than the regular Imperial Godzilla.

My work was recently clearing out some old stuff they no longer sell/make, including sandstone-colored trays for the spas we make. Turns out, as soon as I saw them, I though "duuuude. Those would make some awesome shelves if put together." Talked to the bosses and they said I could take them. So me and my supervisor (who is aware of my little hobby) took like 10 minutes out of the work day, cut the handles off the backs of each tray, and then screwed them together to form a neat shelf.

Image

Just want to paint it black now.

I made it my G'98 shelf, because that stuff was horribly cluttered! Shelf doesn't include my Trendmasters Ultimate GINO or my GINO hand puppet.

It's taken over a year since moving in to get everything done, but finally here's some new pictures of my current toy/movie watching playroom. The shelves are all from the Billy line at Ikea. The glass doors, glass shelves and lightstrips are all additional parts you can add to the basic shelf. My next project is child-locking all the doors since we just had our first baby a few months ago...

I also have plans to build a custom mount and hang the Millennium Falcon vertically on the wall above that red bookcase....one of these days.

And here are some shots with the doors open so you can actually see everything

Finally bought a SH Monsterarts G2014............. Man that lipstick paint on the month doesn't even look as bad as everyone seems to make it. After taking a few photo's of the figure, I notice that the horrible lipstick only shows up when the flash on the camera is on. It actually is on a perfect scale with the Bandai Muto figure (which was horribly moded to the female).

Also, I have a question regarding boxes. Do any of you collectors normally keep the boxes or do you tend to dispose them? I mainly leave most of my figures in their boxes, but lately I've notice that I am starting pile up on these figures. I don't plan on disposing the boxes but I often wonder how everyone cares for their boxes.

I keep the boxes for Revoltech and SHMA, and i keep the header cards for Marmit, M1 and Gigabrain. Most of the 25cm X-Plus i toss because they take up too much space and aren't display worthy (with the big exception of the Mothra box). I have a small closet that any boxes not being displayed ends up in.

I've been keeping my boxes and I've been trying to keep the plastic clamshells for them as well for if and when I move I can just repackage them and not worry too much.

But at the same time, they are taking up quite a bit of space in my closet and hallway. I'm trying to clear out some space in the closet of my old room at my folk's house right now and hopefully will store a bunch of them there. but then I have to decide if I want to take the effects pieces, which I don't really use, and keep them with the boxes or keep them with the figures.

I keep all of my boxes, especially since Kaiju figures rarely come in them, with the exception of the MonsterArts stuff.
