Well life has been way too busy and over half a year after moving into a new house we're still a long way from settled. Putting together my new display has been a long, slow (but fun!!) process that is still incomplete. But I can't resist at least posting a crappy cell phone pic as a preview:

Once my IKEA gets more Detolf's instock, I'll be getting a second case so I can display them with their effect beams and stuff again:

I don't have a MASSIVE collection by any means, but this is what my collection room looks like.

This is the Ultraman Great shelf once all the figures came.

And this is just me playing around with figure scaling.

And yeah, I know, camera sucks. Haha. I am much more into vinyls than I am the Monster Arts figures. While there are a few I do want to get, I've decided to hold off on getting too many more. Only because NECA is having a VERY similar line debut for $17.99 versus the $60 some that the SH figures go for.

I might have to break out my night vision goggles, but it looks like a good collection (and btw most SHMA are north of $60)

Soo0o0o0o0o0o I have an issue, a few of my figures have collected a lot of dust over the years, and I can't seem to find a way to effectively dust them off. What do you guys do to dust off your figures after a while?

If they're tagged, I hold by the plastic strap (and figure itself) and submerge in warm, bubbly water for a few seconds and then pat down with towel. If not, I just submerge them entirely and do the same thing. I generally do this once a year.

Great suggestion.. I too have always wondered about the dust, but never thought to ask. Thanks!

There's a whole thread about cleaning figures somewhere. I use a small synthetic feather duster. It doesn't require drying the figures before you put them back on the shelf and it is great at getting into all the tiny crevices.

Here is my collection room, currently...

Nothing like moving things around so I can paint the wall for a sky blue background.

I finished painting the wall today and decided to paint a little bit on the sides. Here are the new pics with a fresh new background color for my collection (and I plastered up the holes from the old wall shelves I used when I had my MOTUC stuff in here):

I have a very varied collection.. I started on High Grades, but now i mostly pick up 25cm X-Plus, SHMA, and the occasional M1 or Marmit MH.. not really a completionist on any account except when it comes to Showa Meganurons.. i will buy any variant that i don't already have. So here is my current Meganuron collection:

Image

Up top is the very large (almost 2 feet long) X-Plus release from 1998, the four identical sculpts are Toygraph releases.. I'm always on the lookout for more variants, there at least 2 or 3 others that i have seen pictures of that i dont have, and i am strongly considering getting a paint job on the unpainted red figure. In the middle is a Marmit Vinyl Paradise (according to ClubTokyo there is translucent blue variant as well).. the front two little guys are both Iwakura releases and the larger one to the right is the Ricboy exclusive that came with the 25cm X-Plus 1956 Rodan.. Lastly is the Jun Planning bottle cap, which is a surprisingly good sculpt... I also have two variants of the Iwakura Rodan hatchling that features some tiny meganurons, but I didn't think about those when i organized the picture.

So i don't really know of that many others aside from a few kits, but there is a CAST figure that I have lost a couple YAJ auctions trying to get.. but the quest continues.

Once you get a hold of the big X-Plus, you'll never have a reason to pick up another Meganuron figure. Ever.

Expect klen, apparently.

:D Hehe, it is an amazing figure, but there's something i really like about the Toygraph's even though they have an inaccurate bipedal stance

Yeah those toygraphs look really nice. They always got some cool sculpts. I dig their Matango ones too.

Nice dedication to the meganuron line haha.

I think I'm going to have to start photographing my collection. Anyways here is my Bandai Mechagodzilla 2 signed by Teruyoshi Nakano. The ink is faded but the signature is on the belly.
