But I learned in the last month that if you slap Godzilla in anything, be it a popcorn bucket the size of my torso or otherwise...I'll buy it.

I feel the same way, somewhat. I really don't want them, but then I know I'll be kicking myself later on when I see people selling them for like $100 a pop in like 7-years because I'm 99.99% sure this is the one and only time we'll ever see figures like these released.

Also exactly that.
Like that time that I figured "what the heck, I'll pick up the X-Seijin vinyl because stores couldn't GIVE that thing away" and they had more than tripled in price.

These figures also look a whole lot bigger than I imagined. (Was that pic taken in a Don Quijote?)

I'm told the measurements are about 3 inches high and 12 inches long.

The 11" is showing up on eBay. Makes me wish I hadn't missed out pre-ordering it from HLJ, but now I'm going to just wait and see what Bandai USA is releasing over here before I buy anything else. The tail on the 11" looks shorter than the 6", but I can't tell if that's just the angle the pictures were taken at...

Sadly, the 11-incher does have a fatter and proportionately shorter tail...too bad, as otherwise it's a nice sculpt.

Unless I goofed... is this the X-Plus version of Shin-Gojira?

Did I translate that right... $900 dollars?

Well, that actually eases my mind about not buying it then!

Seeing the pics, the 11incher kinda reminds me of the huge G'91 with that stubbier tail. I kinda like it in a retro nostalgia kinda way...

Looks like the 11" is in the same type of packaging as Bandai US stuff so I guess that means it could be released here some time, maybe ???

And they're still choosing to use that random picture of that Bandai USA G'54 figure! I think it's a sure bet we'll at least be getting the 11" over here. I have to admit, I'd be wayyy more likely to buy it if I saw it in person at a Toys-R-Us.

This is what happens when we're starved of Japanese Godzilla movies for 12 years.

Yay! Got my shipping notice from hlj. My 6 inch bandai Shin Godzilla is on the way! It could be close to a month before he arrives in my mailbox, but that's ok. I'm much happier to wait patiently knowing i paid what I feel is a much more reasonable price.

The split jaw and clash of warm/cool colors is very del Toro to me, it's like Godzilla as a Pac Rim kaiju.

Aside from some proportions being off on his head that looks pretty damn good. I'm sure it won't be $100+ dollars either. Can't go wrong.

Sounds like they're going to be fixing those head dimensions:

NECA wrote:"I think some of the photos taken at alamo distorted the head size of Shin Godzilla see attached for the actual sculpt in a proper photo"

So, what is the official explanation for Bluefin not having Shin-Goji? I remember them posting photos on their facebook, but I've not seen an official statement anywhere (Not saying it's not out there, I just haven't found it :/ )

... and further tweets from NECA lay out the possibility for a 'charged up' purple version of Shin Godzilla in the summer and when a person asked about Godzilla's two other forms they said it's a possibility!

Personally, I thought the prototype figure was pretty awesome, but the fact that they're tweaking it a bit to be more movie accurate?! I can't wait to have this thing to go along with my NECA Godzilla '14.

Glad to hear NECA is making the head slightly smaller. I'm really excited for this one.

NECA keeps getting a bit better with every release they do. Honestly can't wait for this Shin figure and the HOPEFUL purple variant with split jaw.

Ah, thanks for the heads up. Couldn't tell which company it was from the info provided by Amazon. Should've probably known better.
